\u2018Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help\u2026\u2019 Ecc.4:9-10a<\/a><\/i><\/i><\/p>\n

\u2018A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer\u2019 Ecc. 4:12a<\/a><\/i>.<\/a> The friends you bounce things off determine the things that are watered in you. It is what is watered in our lives that will grow. Similarly, it is the friends you bounce things off that will determine what is uprooted from your life. It is what is confronted and challenged that will die. The Bible says \u2018let the righteous smite me and it shall be gladness<\/i>\u2019. It is wisdom to embrace the Spirit led counsel of the righteous. It is not every righteous counsel that is for you. You must let God guide you to the right counsel. It is God\u2019s voice through a man that makes his counsel righteous. [Please read 2Samuel 13<\/a>].<\/p>\n

David had a son called Amnon, his first son actually. And Amnon had a crush on his sister. God forbid! To even think about it is repulsive. Yet the truth is that the devil is a bad devil and he is using similar weapons of lust break up so many homes today. Yet you will conquer in the Name of Jesus. You cannot dine with the devil with a long spoon. He is a bad devil, he is going to win and it is going to be bad. Amnon had a crush on his own sister and he could not bring himself to even do anything because he was brought up properly. Yet he was dying inside because he allowed himself to go off on that passion. \u2018But Amnon had a very crafty friend\u2014his cousin Jonadab\u2019<\/i>. It was this friend who told him to pretend to be sick and ask his father to send his sister to bring him food. And when she does he should fulfill his passion [lust].<\/p>\n

Evil was growing in Amnon if he had spoken to a godly person, it would have died because the person would have rebuked, challenged and prayed with him.\u00a0 But he spoke to the wrong person and the evil flourished. Be mindful of the company you keep. Ask God for counsel regarding relationships at every level.<\/p>\n

Prayer<\/b>: Father, I ask that You surround me with righteous counsel. Let Your direction for my life be clear to me always, even when You choose to speak through men, in Jesus Name.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
