Michal, who was the wife of David, saw him dancing before all the other girls and despised him. But David saw himself as dancing before the Lord. That is the difference between the David’s and the Michal’s. The Michals focus on the people and the Davids focus on God. ‘I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise [tehillah] shall continually be in my mouth. Jesus hanging on that cross is the classic case of hallelujah. ‘The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. It is foolish to the Jews, who ask for signs from heaven. And it is foolish to the Greeks, who seek human wisdom.
