\u2018And David danced before the Lord with all his might, wearing a priestly garment\u2019 2 Sam.6:14<\/a>.<\/i><\/p>\n

When David heard about how God was blessing the house of Obed-edom, David went there and took the ark to the city of David. When you see that you have made a mistake be quick to change. David did not allow pride limit him, instead he put pride aside and requested for the ark. I suspect that Obed-edom\u2019s blessing was not just any kind of blessing. For God to bless you and a king would be jealous of you; just imagine how blessed the man was. While transporting the ark, David was so afraid that every six steps he would stop the entire procession and sacrifice before the ark. In those days, when a king is being transported on his mobile throne there is usually a village fool called a buffoon that will entertain him on the journey. A buffoon is defined as a person who amuses others by ridiculous behavior. A buffoon is a gross and usually ill-educated stupid person, a jester, a fool. So David said, \u2018I will be the fool, the King is coming to the city of David\u2019.\u00a0 David decided he would be the one to dance before the King of kings and be the fool. This was David, the king, in whose command lays life and death and no one could question. Now this same king comes before the ark and starts to dance. Scripture says David was wearing just an ephod and being clamorously foolish before God. The question is why do you think yourself so big to dance before God? Why can\u2019t you just forget about yourself and let yourself go in the presence of Your King? Hallelujah is to be a fool for God; it is to dress and act foolishly for God. David took of his royal garment, was left with just an ephod, and was misbehaving and dancing before God. Bear in mind that people will get offended; just keep your focus on God alone. \u2018And David said unto Michal, It was before the Lord, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel: therefore will I play before the Lord. <\/b>And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight\u2026\u2019 <\/i>2Sam.6:21-22[KJV]<\/a>. Play before the Lord!<\/p>\n
