\u2018<\/i><\/b>I will cause your descendants to become as numerous as the stars of the sky, and I will give them all these lands. And through your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed.\u00a0<\/b>I will do this because Abraham listened to me\u2026\u2019 Gen.26:4-5<\/a><\/i><\/p>\n

Blessings can also be inherited. Blessings can move from generation to generation. Like in the case of Isaac, there are certain things that our parents have done before God and men that we are enjoying today. \u2018I will do this because Abraham listened to me and obeyed all my requirements, commands, decrees, and instructions\u2019<\/i> Gen.26:5<\/a>. I have no doubt that a lot of the spiritual progress that most of my siblings are making is because of the seed my grandmother and my mother sowed in the place of prayer. Those prayers were for us and now we are reaping the fruits. But some of you are the first generation believers in your family and that is why it appears that things are tough. Don\u2019t worry – hang in there. Not only will you reap the reward, your children will reap the reward also.<\/p>\n

Jesus became a curse for us so that we can move from curses to blessings. \u2018But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, \u201cCursed is everyone who is hung on a tree<\/i>\u2019 Gal.3:13<\/a>. In Christ Jesus we have been delivered from what is known as the curse of the law. So if you are not born again, you are under a curse. And the strange thing about this curse is that it is God that pronounced the curse. It is a terrible place to be but when you come to Christ the curse of the law is broken.<\/p>\n

What is the curse of the law? \u2018But those who depend on the law to make them right with God are under His curse [God\u2019s curse \u2013 the curse of the law], for the Scriptures say, \u201cCursed is everyone who does not observe and obey all the commands that are written in God\u2019s Book of the Law\u2019<\/i> Gal.3:10<\/a>. If the law and your good works are the basis for which you stand before God, then you are operating under a curse. The only basis for coming to God that is blessed is through Jesus [Rom.11:6<\/a>].<\/p>\n
