And <\/i><b><i>the Angel of the Lord<\/i><\/b><i> departed\u2026\u201d (NKJV, emphasis added).<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www2.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/116\/JHN.8.58\">John 8:<sup>58<\/sup><\/a> \u201c<i>Jesus answered, \u201cI tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I AM!<\/i>\u201d What was Jesus really talking about here? In the Old Testament, the Bible refers to angelic beings using the term <i>an angel of the Lord<\/i> or <i>an angel from God<\/i>. <!--more-->But there is this personality that the Bible refers to as <i>the Angel of the Lord<\/i> as we can see in today\u2019s scripture reference. Take note that the first category is the small letter \u2018a\u2019 angel and the other is capital letter \u2018A\u2019 Angel. That capital letter \u2018A\u2019 Angel is Elohim, the Angel of the Lord, and that was the pre-incarnate Christ. The reference to <i>the Angel of the Lord<\/i> occurs sixty-five times in the Bible and there is no occurrence of the Angel of the Lord after the birth of Christ. The last time was before the birth of Christ, in Luke.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Every time <i>the Angel of the Lord<\/i> speaks, He speaks in the first person, He speaks for God. He always speaks in the first person; it is not a reported speech. <i>The Angel of the Lord<\/i> appeared to several people; to Abraham, to Moses, to Hagar, to Manoah, to Balaam, to Gideon, and to many others. To Abraham; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Gen.22%3A11-12+&amp;version=NKJV\">Gen.22:<sup>11-12<\/sup><\/a> \u201c<i>But <\/i><b><i>the Angel of the Lord <\/i><\/b><i>called to him from heaven and said, \u201cAbraham, Abraham!\u201d So he said, \u201cHere I am.\u201d And He said, \u201cDo not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now <\/i><b><i>I know<\/i><\/b><i> that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, <\/i><b><i>from Me<\/i><\/b>.\u201d (NKJV, emphasis added). If He were <i>an angel from the Lord<\/i>, He would say, \u2018for the Lord knows\u2019. But He speaks in first person; that <i>Angel<\/i> must be God Himself. When Jesus said, \u2018<i>Abraham saw my day and was glad<\/i>\u2019 [<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/116\/JHN.8.56\">John 8:56<\/a>], we see that it actually happened.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">To Moses; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Ex.3%3A2&amp;version=NKJV\">Ex.3:<\/a><sup>2<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Ex.3%3A6&amp;version=NKJV\">,6<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Ex.3%3A13-14+&amp;version=NKJV\">13-14<\/a><\/sup> \u201c<i>And <\/i><b><i>the Angel of the Lord <\/i><\/b><i>appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed\u2026<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Moreover, <\/i><b><i>He said<\/i><\/b><i>, \u201c<\/i><b><i>I AM<\/i><\/b><i> the God of your father\u2014the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.\u201d And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God\u2026 Then Moses said to God, \u201cIndeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, \u2018The God of your fathers has sent me to you,\u2019 and they say to me, \u2018What is His name?\u2019 what shall I say to them?\u201d And God said to Moses, \u201cI AM WHO I AM.\u201d And He said, \u201cThus you shall say to the children of Israel, \u2018I AM has sent me to you<\/i>.\u2019\u201d (NKJV, emphasis added). No <i>angel from the Lord<\/i> will accept worship or equate himself to God. The one that tried it [lucifer], was crushed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www2.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/116\/JHN.8.58\">John 8:<sup>58<\/sup><\/a> \u201c<i>Jesus answered, \u201cI tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I AM!\u201d <\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www2.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/116\/JHN.1.1-4\">John 1:<\/a><sup>1-4<\/sup> \u201c<i>In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made<\/i>. <i>In Him was life, and the life was the light of men<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Prayer<\/b> [song]: Jehovah Elohim. The God of all creation, He whose words cannot be broken. The self-existing Mighty One, uncreated Lord of all.
