Night fell while he was there alone\u2026 About three o\u2019clock in the morning Jesus came toward them, walking on the water<\/i>.\u201d <!--more-->Jesus went to pray before dark and the next time the disciples saw Him was at three o\u2019clock in the morning. <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/116\/JHN.11.41-42\">John 11:<sup>41-42<\/sup><\/a> \u201c<i>\u2026Then Jesus looked up to heaven and said, \u201cFather, thank you for hearing me. You always hear me, but I said it out loud for the sake of all these people\u2026<\/i>\u201d. From these two examples and when we examine the life of Jesus, we see that Jesus prayed long prayers in private and short prayers in public. Some \u2018<i>very spiritual<\/i>\u2019 people pray long prayers in public and pray short prayers in private. If the longest time you pray is when you are in church, something is wrong with that. From Jesus\u2019 example, His long prayers were done in private, and His short prayers<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>where mostly in public.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Mysteriously it seems <span class=\"s1\">We Can Reason And Negotiate With God<\/span>. It appears that we can actually change things. In <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/116\/GEN.20.3-7\">Gen.20:3-7<\/a>, Abimelech negotiated with God for his life saying, \u201c\u2026<i>Lord, will you destroy an innocent nation?<\/i>\u201d He negotiated his way out of death.<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/1\/ISA.1.18\"> Isa.1:<sup>18<\/sup><\/a>\u00a0\u201c<i>Come now, and let us reason together, saith the\u00a0Lord\u2026<\/i>\u201d (KJV). The Voice translation of the same <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/1\/ISA.1.18\">Isaiah 1:18<\/a> says \u201c<i>Come on now, let\u2019s walk and talk; let\u2019s work this out\u2026<\/i>\u201d Is it not beautiful that God will say to you, Come, let us take a walk and sort this thing out? This thing that you think is a problem, let me show you how it is not a problem.&#8217; Isn&#8217;t it just mind-blowing that the God of the whole earth will say, \u2018Come, let\u2019s have a conversation\u2019? <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/59\/ISA.41.21\">Isa.41:<sup>21<\/sup><\/a>\u00a0\u201c<i>Set forth your case, says the\u00a0Lord;\u00a0bring your proofs, [\u201cSet forth your arguments,\u201d] says the King of Jacob<\/i>.\u201d (ESV &amp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/111\/ISA.41.21\">NIV).<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Isaiah said to Hezekiah, \u2018<i>put your house is not in order\u2019,<\/i> Hezekiah faced the wall and brought his own strong case to God. Hezekiah\u2019s argument was, \u2018God, nobody dances like me in church, so who will praise You like me? I dance recklessly, praising You from my heart. If you take me, the dead cannot praise you?\u2019 God said, \u2018hmmm\u2026 that makes a lot of sense.\u2019 [<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/116\/2KI.20.1-5\">2 Kings 20:1-5<\/a> paraphrased]. I am sure you know that God could have reasoned that out by Himself. But He wants us to come and have a conversation, negotiate with Him. There are so many cases, even in the church, where we should not have taken possession. But we will go and negotiate, and we will change things. There are certain things that people want to do that the Holy Spirit will tell me, and I will change it. Joseph saw the sun, moon, and stars bow to him in a dream. His father, Israel said, \u2018will I also bow to you?\u2019 Read that story [<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/116\/GEN.37\">Gen.37<\/a>], everyone else bowed to Joseph but Israel did not bow because he is a Patriarch. There are things that the enemy would want to do in your nation that if you have weight [power] with God, you can change it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Prayer<\/b>: Holy Spirit, help me to pray as I ought to pray in every season, in Jesus Name.
