The first is, God wants us to centre our lives around Him. God wants to be the centre of your life and my life.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><b>#2: God Wants Me To <\/b><span class=\"s1\"><b>Learn To Love His Family<\/b><\/span>: The second thing God wants us to focus our lives on is learning to love God\u2019s family. There are fifty-six \u2018one anothers\u2019 in the Bible. Love one another, comfort one another, cherish one another, defend one another, and so on. You cannot do them by yourself. You need to be engaged in the church. Join a small group, join a life group, join a department in church. It is so important. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/68\/heb.10.25\">Hebrews 10:<sup>25<\/sup><\/a> \u201c<i>Let us not give up the <\/i><span class=\"s1\"><i>HABIT OF MEETING TOGETHER<\/i><\/span><i>, as some are doing. Instead, let us <\/i><span class=\"s1\"><i>encourage one another<\/i><\/span><i> all the more, since you see that the Day of the Lord is coming nearer<\/i>.\u201d (GNT, emphasis added). When you have a habit of meeting together, you do it instinctively.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">The first focus is \u2018Worship and the second focus is \u2018Fellowship\u2019. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/116\/act.2.41-42,46\">Acts 2:<sup>41-42, 46<\/sup><\/a> \u201c<i>Those who <\/i><span class=\"s1\"><i>believed<\/i><\/span><i>\u2026were <\/i><span class=\"s1\"><i>baptized<\/i><\/span><i> and <\/i><span class=\"s1\"><i>added to the church<\/i><\/span><i>\u2026 <\/i><span class=\"s1\"><i>They joined<\/i><\/span><i> with the other believers and <\/i><span class=\"s1\"><i>committed<\/i><\/span><i> <\/i><span class=\"s1\"><i>themselves<\/i><\/span><i> to the Apostles\u2019 <\/i><span class=\"s1\"><i>teaching and fellowship<\/i><\/span><i>&#8230; They <\/i><span class=\"s1\"><i>worshiped together regularly at the Temple<\/i><\/span><i>\u2026and met in <\/i><span class=\"s1\"><i>small groups in homes<\/i><\/span>&#8230;\u201d (paraphrased, emphasis added). Can you see the order? God wants you to believe in Jesus first and foremost. Then, get baptized, then join a church family, then come to regular worship, and then connect to a small group \u2013 that is fellowship. That is the natural progression.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><b>#3: God Wants Me to <\/b><span class=\"s1\"><b>Cultivate Spiritual Maturity<\/b><\/span>. The third thing God wants us to focus our lives on is cultivating spiritual maturity. It is big! God does not just want us to get saved and remain a baby for the rest of our lives. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Hebrews+6%3A1&amp;version=TLB\">Hebrews 6:<sup>1<\/sup> <\/a>\u201c\u2026<i>Let us go on\u2026 and <\/i><span class=\"s1\"><b><i>become mature<\/i><\/b><\/span><i> in our understanding, as strong Christians ought to be\u2026<\/i>\u201d (LB, emphasis added). The third purpose is called, \u2018Discipleship\u2019. A disciple is simply a student. God wants us to be students of His Word, open to learning and growing. Hebrews 5:<sup>12<\/sup> \u201c<i>By now you should be <\/i><span class=\"s1\"><i>teachers<\/i><\/span><i>. Instead, you still need someone to teach you.<\/i>..!\u201d (GW, emphasis added). God has expectations for your life. By now God expects that you should be able to tackle certain things.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Prayer<\/b>: Father, I pray that my love will overflow more and more and that I will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding of Your will, in Jesus Name.
