The first thing is <span class=\"s1\">Jesus Paid The Penalty and Cancelled The Debt<\/span>. The second thing is, <span class=\"s1\">Jesus Defeated The Fear Of Death<\/span>. The third thing is, <span class=\"s1\">Jesus Broke The Power Of satan To Mess With My Life<\/span>. And because of what happened at the Cross of Calvary, we are rescued.<!--more--> The word <i>rescued<\/i> is past tense, meaning it is done, sorted out. However, it is important to note that satan uses three main things. He uses <b><i>temptation<\/i><\/b>, he uses <b><i>condemnation<\/i><\/b>, and he uses <b><i>frustration<\/i><\/b>. There are others, but Jesus dealt with these three on the cross already. The devil uses temptation; take the example of jumping in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/116\/mat.4.5-6\"><em>Matthew 4:<sup>5-6 <\/sup><\/em><\/a>\u201c<i>Then the devil took him to the holy city, Jerusalem, to the highest point of the Temple, and said, \u201cIf you are the Son of God, jump off! For the Scriptures say, \u2018He will order his angels to protect you. And they will hold you up with their hands so you won\u2019t even hurt your foot on a stone.\u2019<\/i>\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">When you begin to flex your rights because of satanic investigations or the human mind, you are going to set yourself up for a fall. Satan will minimize the temptation, but as soon as you do it, he will then maximize it and make it condemnation. That is how he works. You were told not to eat the piece of meat. Satan will say, \u2018Ah, an ordinary piece of meat, you are bigger than a piece of meat.\u2019 Then you too will look at the piece of meat, and the piece of meat is inviting you to take a bite. So, you just take the piece of meat, satan is still saying, \u2018it is so small, just throw it in your mouth and swallow it.\u2019 And as you are eating it, satan starts screaming accusations at you, \u2018You have eaten a whole cow! You are an evil child! You have eaten your mother&#8217;s piece of meat! Your mother worked so hard, laboured for you and you are stealing from your mother.\u2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">That is how satan works. But the devil is a liar, because of the Cross, you and I can <span class=\"s1\">Resist Temptation<\/span>. I want you to declare it aloud, \u2018because of the Cross of Jesus, I can resist temptation\u2019. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/105\/1co.10.13\"><em>1 Corinthians 10:<sup>13<\/sup><\/em><\/a> \u201c<i>\u2026But you can trust God, who will not permit you to be tempted more than you can stand. But when you are tempted, he will also give you a way to escape so that you will be able to stand it<\/i>.\u201d (NCV). There is no temptation that you are facing right now that God has not given you the power to resist it. Sometimes, the best way to defeat temptation is to escape. It is not every temptation you have to overpower. Sometimes the victory over the temptation is to bail out, just escape. So, because of the cross, I have the power to resist temptation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Prayer<\/b>: Father, I trust You not to permit me to be tempted more than I can stand and I trust You to make a way of escape for me, in Jesus Name.
