Let the king be enthralled by your beauty;\u00a0honour him, for he is <strong><u>your lord<\/u><\/strong>.\u201d (NIV, emphasis added).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Your husband is your <u>l<\/u>ord (small letter \u2018l\u2019 lord). Jesus is the Lord of <u>l<\/u>ords. Your husband is one of the small letter \u2018l\u2019 lords. Pastor, is that not the Old Testament? <!--more-->It is interesting how people are always trying to separate the Bible. Even in the New Testament, Peter speaking in<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/1pe.3.6\"> 1 Peter 3:<sup>6<\/sup><\/a> \u201c<em>like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her <strong><u>lord<\/u><\/strong>\u2026<\/em>\u201d (NIV, emphasis added). Check it out for yourself. You have been made for more in God. You have been made for more in marriage. But to enter into the more in God, you need to have a heart like Ruth. A heart that will say to God, \u201cWhere You go, I will go, wherever it is.\u201d You need to have the same heart in your marriage. If you are single, brilliant! Do not marry an Orpah, do not marry a kisser.<\/p>\n<p>So, how do you not do that? You don\u2019t be an Orpah. If you are not an Orpah, you will be fine. At least half of the equation is sorted out. Then pray that God will bring you a Ruth male or female. As we have seen that cleaving is on both sides. So, you are made for more in God, in marriage, and in life. You are made for more in life. Be that person that is a cleaver and not a kisser. Go beyond the kiss into to the mix of your greatness in God. I heard this statement and I have been chewing on it for a bit because it really hit me when I heard it. The person said, \u201cPeople don\u2019t abandon people they love, they abandon people they were using.\u201d So, if someone wants to abandon you, do not force it. It just shows that they have been using you.<\/p>\n<p>However, they have now checked their options and seen that they are better off or seen that they can do without you. Do not force it, or do you want to continue to be used? Well, I do not, and you should not either. People don\u2019t abandon people they love; they abandon people they were using. They were using you all along. If somebody claims they love you and they can walk out of your life. No, they did not really love you. You were a tool; you were being used. Or they thought they loved you, but when they saw other options, they decided to walk out on you. But the Bible says that there is a <em>friend<\/em> who sticks closer than a brother, and His Name is Jesus.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/111\/pro.18.24\">Proverbs 18:<sup>24<\/sup> <\/a>\u201c<em>One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother<\/em>.\u201d (NIV). Everybody needs a Ruth, and everybody should be a Ruth to the people in their lives. If you are surrounded by Orpahs, you are in trouble. The greatest trouble you will have in your life will be caused by Orpahs or people that are less than Orpahs. When I say people that are less, I mean fair-weather friends and betrayers. Lives that are surrounded by Orpahs and less, the Bible says will soon come to ruin. But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother and His Name is Jesus. God wants you to be the Jesus in people\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Prayer<\/strong>: Father, help me to be more with God, in marriage, and in life, in Jesus Name.
