Everything in your life is a gift of grace. I want you to stay with this thought for just a little bit longer.<!--more--> Some people are probably saying, \u201cNo, Pastor, I worked hard to get to where I am today. What I have achieved surely cannot just be God handing down stuff to me.\u201d Now, listen, the air you breathe, how much would you have paid for it? The way your lungs work, can you count how many times it has worked today? How many times has your heart beat today? How many times have you slept and woken up in your life? And many of us sleep and wake up multiple times a day.<\/p>\n<p>What about the work you do, how did you get the strength and the intelligence required for it? All these are gifts from God. Guess what? These are just the basics; we can begin to build on them. God relates with us by grace, and I am going to show you. Even the people who were apparently under the law, God relates with us by grace.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1%20Corinthians%2015%3A10&amp;version=TLB\"> 1 Corinthians 15:<sup>10<\/sup><\/a> \u201c<em>But whatever I am now it is all because God poured out such kindness and grace upon me<\/em>\u2026\u201d (LB). The truth is whatever you are now is because God poured out His kindness and grace upon you. Let\u2019s just stop and say, \u201cThank You, Jesus\u201d. If you are able to wave, just wave and appreciate Him for whatever you are now it is because He poured out His grace and kindness upon you.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/bible\/1588\/JHN.1.16.AMP\">John 1:<sup>16<\/sup><\/a> \u201c<em>For out of His fullness [the superabundance of His grace and truth] we have all received grace upon grace [spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing, favour upon favour, and gift heaped upon gift].\u201d<\/em> (AMP). From the fullness of God\u2019s grace, we have all\u2014male, female, Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Krishna, Buddhist\u2014we all (everybody) have received blessing upon blessing. Very often, the fundamentals of grace elude us. I like some definitions of grace that I came across. One person says, \u201cGrace is anything that I desperately need, that I don\u2019t deserve, that I could never repay, but God gives it to me anyway.\u201d Another definition of grace is this: \u201c<em>Grace is the face that God puts on when He looks at my failures, my faults, and my mistakes<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When we look at our own mistakes most times we frown, we are not happy, we are disappointed. When we look at the mistakes of our friends or maybe even our loved ones, we love them, but we are not happy. However, when God looks at our mistakes, if you can describe the expression on His face in one word it is Grace. If we were to represent grace in a mathematical equation, it would be <strong>Grace = Mercy + Favour<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Prayer<\/strong>: Father, in gratitude I acknowledge that whatever I am now is all because of the grace and kindness You have poured upon me. Thank You, Lord, in Jesus Name.
