{"id":3077,"date":"2014-05-06T00:01:58","date_gmt":"2014-05-05T23:01:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gfhlive.tv\/freshfire\/?p=3077"},"modified":"2014-05-02T15:31:14","modified_gmt":"2014-05-02T14:31:14","slug":"number-one-priority","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gfhlive.tv\/freshfire\/2014\/05\/06\/number-one-priority\/","title":{"rendered":"Number One Priority"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>\u2018<\/em><\/strong><em>When Simon Peter realized what had happened, he fell to his knees before Jesus and said, \u201cOh, Lord, please leave me\u2014I\u2019m too much of a sinner to be around you.\u201d <strong>\u00a0<\/strong>For he was awestruck by the number of fish they had\u2026\u2019 <a title=\"Read the Bible\" href=\"https:\/\/bible.com\/116\/luk.5.8-9.nlt\" target=\"_blank\">Luke 5:8-9<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Are you going to give your one and only life to fishing for fish or fishing for men? Are you going to invest this one life you have into fishing for small fish or fishing for big fish. The same way Jesus asked Peter, James, and John, He is asking us today. The same way He wanted Peter, James, and John to understand this, He wants us to understand that life is all about people. God wants you and I to help connect people to Him because with Jesus, \u00a0people priority is number one priority. So Jesus is saying what will it be today, are you going to be fishing for fish or are you going to be fishing for men? In <a title=\"Read the Bible\" href=\"https:\/\/bible.com\/116\/luk.5.1-11.nlt\" target=\"_blank\">Luke 5:1-11,<\/a> what they had worked for all night was to catch fish so that they can feed their families and have a good life. But they caught nothing. Jesus showed up, they caught so many fish they couldn\u2019t even handle the catch. Then Peter had a light bulb moment; he realized that this was miraculous \u2013 a touch of divinity. Then comes the question, is it going to be about the fish or is it going to be about men?<em> \u2018Jesus replied to Simon, \u201cDon\u2019t be afraid! From now on you\u2019ll be fishing for people!\u2019<\/em> The truth we ought to realize today as followers of Christ Jesus is that we do not have a choice; Jesus will make you a fisher of men. However you must confront yourself with this question &#8211; is it going to be the fish or men?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fish translates to money. Is it going to be about selling the fish, making money, and expanding your company? Or is going to be about people\u2019s destinies? Is it going to be about dollars or is it going to be about destinies? If you choose dollars you will discover a life of emptiness. If you choose people\u2019s destiny, you will discover a life of joy and fulfillment. Am I telling you to forget about the dollars? Well, pretty much yes. Let me break it down. Your response could be like Peter \u2013 \u201c<em>fish no more, Jesus all the way<\/em>\u201d. He left everything, even the fish he caught he did not even bother selling. Peter\u2019s thinking could have been, \u2018Jesus, you are the one that made the fish come, let me hold unto you, more fish will come\u2019. Smart guy; he held Jesus and left everything. Until you realize what Peter realized, it will be difficult for you to hold on to what really matters. I am praying for you today that you will not miss it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Prayer<\/strong>: Father, I pray that I will not miss what is important.
