Instead of A.S.A.P be A.L.A.T! I agree that I may not totally understand the details of what you are believing God for. But you have to roll up your sleeves and be prepared to present your case before God for as long as it takes. If the widow went to the unjust judge and gave him a response time limit of ‘five minutes or else’, he probably would have been very happy. He won’t have responded and she would have left in anger, right? Would she have gotten justice with the A.S.A.P attitude? The widow went to the unjust judge with the mindset of As Long As it Takes I am going to get justice. And his response was, ‘…this woman is driving me crazy…’. See what Jesus said, ‘I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly’. So don’t give up on God for He will answer you speedily. The revelation of God our Father as the Judge of the whole earth makes all the difference in prayer. I have faith and I know what it is to pray for someone and the person gets healed instantly. And with that same faith, I know what it is to pray for someone and it will take three months for the person to get healed. It is the same God; it is the same healing. I know some people will struggle with this in their hearts. Sometimes I hear people that have prayed and got the answer instantly talk with some form of disdain to people that it’s taking three months for their answer to come. And I smile because you keep believing?, just keep believing?. God wants to create capacity in us so sometimes He takes us through the fire. But the key thing is that God will not fail you.

The second lesson to learn from Luke 18:1-8 is do not be ignorant of the accuser. In this story, there are three main characters; the very prominent judge, the widow, and the accuser. The widow was not ignorant of her accuser. If there is something the enemy consistently wants, it is to hide and pretend as if he does not exist. I have heard some believers say that the devil does not really exist and he is just a figment of the imagination. The devil loves that because if you don’t know the enemy, you cannot attack the enemy, and you cannot overcome the enemy.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, please give me the grace to stay A.L.A.T on every prayer point, in Jesus Name.

‘Then the Lord said, “Learn a lesson from this unjust judge. Even he rendered a just decision in the end.
