Jeremiah 6:16 “This is what the Lord says: “Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old, godly way, [the ancient paths,] and walk in it. Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls. But you reply, ‘No, that’s not the road we want!’” (NLT & NIV)

On your journey to restoration, God has a couple of things that He wants to put in place for you and for everyone who has been robbed, experienced a loss, or suffered some kind of setback. The God of heaven is bringing restoration into your life in the Name of Jesus. The focus text for the next few days is our anchor scripture. I pray for you that the Word of God will not be scarce in your life in the Name of Jesus. I pray for you that you will be able to say concerning every area of your life, “Thus says the Lord”, “This is what God is saying…”. That is the beauty of having a walk with God. When we can boldly, confidently, and accurately say, “Thus says the Lord”. Again, I pray that the Word of God will not be scarce in your life in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

Jeremiah 6:16 “This is what the Lord says: “Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old, godly way, [the ancient paths,] and walk in it. Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls. But you reply, ‘No, that’s not the road we want!’” (NLT & NIV, emphasis added). I pray that when God points the path to you, you will not say, “No, that is not the road I want”. I pray that when God points a path to you, you will embrace the path and you will find rest for your soul in the Name of Jesus. Every time we don’t find rest for our souls, every time our souls are in turmoil, we should check if we are on the path that God has called us to.

God is so interested in you having rest for your soul. He is not just interested in saving your spirit or healing your body; God wants your soul restored. God says in 3 John 2:2 “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” (KJV, emphasis added). God’s heart for you is that your soul will prosper, and so shall it be in the Name of Jesus. David would say to us in Psalm 23 that the Lord will set a table before you in the presence of your enemies because He is your shepherd. He leads you along the path of righteousness for His Name’s sake, and He restores your soul. He leads you in green pastures. He restores your soul. So, restoration of soul is big to God.

And God is saying to you that the path He has for you is a path that brings rest for your soul. Do a soul check real quick. What is the status of your soul? Is your soul hurried, chaotic, pressed, crushed, or under pressure? God wants you to find rest for your soul. And that is the way of restoration of soul. Today, God will restore your soul in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
