Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.\u201d (NIV).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The first significance of restored sight is <strong>Renewed Perception<\/strong>. The second significance of restored sight is that you gain <strong>Independence and Freedom<\/strong>. <!--more-->However, there is a difference between independence and freedom. The Bible says that it is for freedom that Christ has made us free. So, what is the difference between independence and freedom? It is not even just a play of words. Independence means you <u>CAN<\/u> act by yourself without depending on others and without restraints. However, freedom means you act by yourself without depending on others and without restraints. Two different things. So, the fact that you can act by yourself, you are independent, doesn&#8217;t mean that you will act by yourself or that you are free.<\/p>\n<p>You can act by yourself, you are independent, but you need to take substance or drugs to be okay. Then, you are not free and you are a slave to the drug. You need to take alcohol before you can be free with your spouse, You are a slave to it because you are dependent on it. I pray for everyone who is a slave to anything other than God, that heaven will set you completely free in the Name of Jesus. Independence is not freedom. Teenagers typically think they are smarter than their parents. They want to be independent. Some say, I can&#8217;t wait until I leave this house. I can&#8217;t wait until I begin to earn my own money.<\/p>\n<p>When you begin to earn your own money, you leave the house, you graduate, and then you are independent. Someone said to me that she can&#8217;t wait until she starts making her own money so that she can be independent. Then she will be able to buy Starbucks. I said, &#8220;That is interesting. So, what is your plan?&#8221; She said she will work at Starbucks. I said, &#8220;You want to get a job at Starbucks so you can buy Starbucks&#8221;. By the time you get a job at Starbucks, you will discover that you need to pay your rent. You need to pay your bills\u2014your water bill, your light bill. You may not even have enough money to buy Starbucks. You may not be financially free.<\/p>\n<p>You may be independent, but you may not be free. Take countries that were colonized. For instance, African countries. A lot of them, if not all of them, were colonized, right? We all have our independence now, and we celebrate it. We are independent, we can act by ourselves, but the question is, are we free? Is Nigeria or Africa really free? Can we act without restraint orwithout depending on others? The day we can, then we are truly free.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer<\/strong>: Father, as You restore my sight, help me to experience independence and freedom by Your Holy Spirit, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
