Today we will delve into the four “P’s” of waiting; these will help you maximize waiting time.

Waiting time is not wasted time, waiting time is Pondering time. It is the time to soak yourself in the vision through the fire of thought. The chicken for instance, after laying its eggs broods over them. It sits on the eggs for twenty-one days. Have you seen a chicken that is brooding over her eggs going to eat? She is always in such a hurry. She runs back, sits and waits because the chicken knows that something is about to hatch. As you are brooding, waiting, and pondering you need to know with anticipation that something is about to hatch. This is the time to document stuff. ‘Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it’ Hab.2:2 [NKJV]. Pondering matures the vision in us. When you are pregnant, while you are pondering and waiting, the baby grows bigger. Similarly, pondering matures the vision in us.

Waiting time is not wasted time, waiting time is Prayer time. This is the time you stay in the place of prayer and pray. Prayer keeps our focus on the source [God]. Prayer keeps our focus sharp. ‘So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most’ Heb.4:16. When do we find grace? -When we need it the most. So pray! Prayer literarily paves the way for God to work. But when you are praying, pray for opportunities; don’t pray for manna. A lot of Christians pray for manna. Manna is food in the wilderness. Instead be like Nehemiah; when Nehemiah was praying he didn’t say, ‘Lord, touch the heart of the king so that he will go and build the wall of Jerusalem’. Nehemiah said, ‘let me find favour with this king. Open a door for me so that we can rebuild these walls’. Don’t pray ‘O God, this goliath should fall down and die’ or ‘God I don’t want to see any goliath, please’. No! David said ‘you come to me with a sword and a shield but I come to you in the name of the Lord of Hosts. Today, I am going to cut off your head. God give me favour so I will kill this goliath’.

Prayer [song]: ‘We are able to go up and take the mountain.
