What was his secret? It is an open secret really. David gives away that secret in his words and with the pattern of his life. David\u2019s secret weapon is simple; David always secured victory before the battle. [verse 45 to 47]. What were David and Goliath trading? Words. Always answer the enemy back. I can never over emphasize that enough. My grandmother would say that if someone says something to <!--more-->you that is not in line with you, always answer back. I didn\u2019t know she got it from the Scriptures. A lady applied for a job in one of the first generation banks. And a man said to her \u201cyou can never get this position, over my dead body\u201d. And the lady warned him to be careful because all she needs to say is \u2018Amen!\u2019 The man was furious and threw her out of his office. She said \u2018Amen!\u2019 the man was buried, and the lady got the job. It is as simple as that. If they say it will happen over their dead body, then let it be so. I am teaching you dangerous things right? The world is a battlefield and your voice is a trigger in the spirit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">David never lost a single battle because David always engaged God. There is a phrase that you will encounter consistently in all of David\u2019s battles. \u2018<em>And David enquired of the Lord<\/em>\u2019. David would not fight a single battle without enquiring of the Lord. \u2018<em>David asked the Lord, \u201cShould I go and attack them?\u201d \u201cYes, go and save Keilah,\u201d the Lord told him\u2019<\/em> <a title=\"Read the Bible\" href=\"https:\/\/bible.com\/116\/1sa.23.2.nlt\" target=\"_blank\">1Sam.23:2<\/a>. But David\u2019s men were afraid and the Bible records that David went back to God again and again God replied, \u201cGod down to Keilah, for I will help you conquer the Philistines\u201d <a title=\"Read the Bible\" href=\"https:\/\/bible.com\/116\/1sa.24.4.nlt\" target=\"_blank\">1Sam.23:4<\/a>. David consistently went to God for direction before he engaged physically [Read 1Sam.30:8; 2Sam.2:1; 2Sam.5:19 &amp;23]. If you are honest with yourself and you search your life, you will see that when you are experiencing successive defeat its because you are running ahead of God. Are you going to learn to act like David or are you going to keep running ahead of God? David did not move without God.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Prayer<\/strong>: Father, I ask for the wisdom never to engage without enquiring of You.
