\u2018His mother said to the servants, \u201cWhatever He says to you, do it\u201d John 2:5 [NKJV]<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

In John 2 there is an amazing story where Jesus and His mother were at a wedding in Cana of Galilee. If you have been in church for a while, you would know this story. The celebrants ran out of wine and something very interesting happened. The mother of Jesus said to Him, \u201cThey have no more wine, fix it\u201d [translated]. Jesus said, \u201cwoman what is my business with that\u201d [translated]. Then Jesus\u2019 mother changed gear and said to the servants, \u201cyou know what, anything He tells you to do, do it\u201d [translated]. Now the question to you and I is, are you telling God what to do or are you doing what He says to do? Some people have decided that they will be the ones to tell God what to do, as if He is their houseboy. But you see for goliath to fall, your position has to be what He has told you to do<\/em>. Like we said yesterday, David could have allowed all that was going on around him swell his heart and he could have disobeyed Jesse. David would have died an anointed shepherd boy. What has Jesse said to you? In fact, who are the Jesses in your life? I am sure you know who the Jesses are, the Lord, your husband, and the list goes on. What has Jesse said to you? You and I have to get under the things that God has put over us so that we can get over the things that God has put under us. It might help you to verbalize this frequently. What is Jesse saying to you? What has the Lord said to you to do and you are saying to God, \u201cdon\u2019t worry, You do this then I will do that\u201d. God says \u201cjump\u201d but you are saying to God \u201cput a net there first and You will see if I won\u2019t jump\u201d.<\/p>\n

What has God said to you? What is God saying to you to do? If there is anything that you get out of today\u2019s devotional let it be that the key to miracles is what has He said for you to do – do it<\/em>! Years ago one of our Pastors said he feels that God is telling him that there is something I do to the anointing oil for the God Will Do It Again service. He wanted to know the special way the oil was prepared. Why should I tell him, is it not my secret? But God rebuked me, \u201cWhat secret? Who\u2019s secret? Tell him\u201d. So I told him and he left my office very excited. After he left God said, \u201cI will now show you a higher way\u201d. And we have been using the higher way up until now. A lot of people are where they are because they have refused to obey God. Until you obey God the next level will be elusive.<\/p>\n

Thought<\/strong>: You have to make up your mind to do what the Lord says do.<\/p>\n

Prayer<\/strong>: Precious Holy Spirit, please teach me to habitually obey God, in Jesus Name.<\/p>\n
