So when we say Jesus is Lord, we are saying Jesus has authority, control, and power. I understand that some people are at the borderline and struggling with their faith, so they wonder if Jesus is really Lord? We put up this post, \u201cJesus IS Lord\u201d on one of our social media <!--more-->and someone\u2019s response to it was this, \u2018Jesus is not Lord, we accept Him as a prophet\u2019. We are not offended at him or her; in fact we love you and trust that you will be journeying with us over the next few days. A British historian called H.G. Wells said, \u201cI am a historian, I am not a believer. But I must confess as a historian that this penniless preacher from Nazareth is irrevocably the very center of history. Jesus Christ is easily the most dominant figure in all history\u201d \u2013 H.G. Wells. This is from a historian\u2019s perspective.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you look at the major religions of the world, Buddhism, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and they have categorized Christianity as a religion but I know that it is more than a religion and I\u2019m sure you know that too. In fairness to all these people that started these religions, not a single one of them claimed to be God. Buddha never claimed to be God. Moses never claimed to be Jehovah. And Mohammed never claimed to be Allah. Yet Jesus Christ claimed to be the True and Living God. He is the only one that made that claim. Confucius, a leading Chinese philosopher of his time, said, &#8220;I never claimed to be holy.&#8221; <strong>Jesus said, &#8220;Who convicts me of sin?&#8221; <\/strong>Mohammed said, &#8220;Unless God throws His cloak of mercy over me, I have no hope.&#8221; <strong>Jesus said, &#8220;Unless you believe in me, you will die in your sins.&#8221;<\/strong> When it comes to the truth, Buddha simply said, <em>\u201cTruth is found in an eight fold path; if you strive all your life you <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">may<\/span> just discover truth&#8221; <\/em>And at the end of his life, Buddha said <em>\u201cI am still searching for the truth\u201d<\/em>. Mohammed said, \u201c<em>I am a prophet pointing to the truth<\/em>\u201d. Krishna said, \u201c<em>truth must be searched for by purifying yourself and chanting \u2018Hare Krishna, Krishna Hare, Rama Rama\u2019, then <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">maybe<\/span> you will get a glimpse of the truth<\/em>\u2026 Jesus said, <strong>\u201cI am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except by me\u201d<\/strong>. Who do you want to put your faith in? Who do you want to anchor your life and unknown eternity on? Jesus, right? All these quotes are in the public domain; you can Google it if you want.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Prayer<\/strong> [song]: You are the Lord, let Your Name be glorified (2x).
