But many people have different ideas on what the church should be or what the church should do. And that is the foundation for a “ME” church. A “ME” church is the church that is all about me. But the reality is that the Church is not about you or me, it is all about Jesus. One of the major challenges the Church has toda is that the people really selfish. People are selfish in their relationships, with their colleagues at work, and in their marriages. One of the main cause of strife in marriages is selfishness. You have one person in a marriage, or the two people in a marriage that just want to take – selfish! They are referred to as seas but they really are not. They are more like lakes, large bodies of water. The first one is called the Sea of Galilee. It receives water from Mount Hebron, from the north, and gives water out to River Jordan. It receives from the north and gives water to Jordan. The Sea of Galilee has abundance of fish and that is where people go to fish. As a result there is a lot of commerce going on around it and the surrounding is green. The Sea of Galilee is beautiful; the water is fantastic to life and to quenching thirst. But there is another body of water called the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea on the other hand takes water from Jordan and gives water to nobody. It does not flow anywhere and that is why it is called the Dead Sea. Everything that enters that body of water dies. The fish that makes the mistake of swimming from Jordan into Dead Sea dies. Why? It is because the Dead Sea is a Taker and not a Giver.

Thought: Examine your life; are you a giver or a taker?

Prayer: Father, in line with Your Word, make me a liberal soul and as I water, Father water me also, in Jesus Name.

“There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself” Prov. 11:24-25 [KJV] The church is the Assembly of God’s people, the body of Christ.
