But Mary was keeping within herself all these things (sayings), weighing and pondering them in her heart. Luke 2:19 <\/a>[AMP]<\/em><\/p>\n

Not much is said about Mary, the mother of our Lord Jesus Christ. We do not get to know details about her favourite colour or song. However in her responses to circumstances lies a depth of lessons. This was the woman who was at the beginning of Jesus\u2019 life. She lost Him but gave herself no rest until she found Him again. She was present when He began His public ministry. And faithful still, this same woman was nearby in His last moments. Imagine the pain she felt, watching her first son being crucified [Luke 2:35] <\/a>but she stood there – faithfully at His side. May the \u2018fire of children never burn you\u2019. No parent prays to see the death of their child. Learn faithfulness, strength, worship, devotion and character from Mary. John 2, she called out His greatness, and she triggered off His public ministry. Mary saw and knew the potential in her son. Thank God for mothers who see potential in their children before the world sees it. As parents you have to look beyond the rascality of your son and see the potential in them. Don\u2019t stop there; speak it to them because the spoken word changes lives. The potential my mother saw in me and shared with me at the formative part of my life changed me totally and increased my desire for greatness. I did not fail a single exam after that. Mothers, speak the potential of a child. For me, what a whip could not bring out, the words of a mother stirred up. What are you saying to your child? Have people in authority over you prophesied failure over you? Take heart, God your Father speaks your potential in His Word every day. \u2018I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health\u2026\u2019; \u2018you are fearfully and wonderfully made\u2019.<\/p>\n

Prayer<\/strong>: Heavenly Father, thank You the example of people\u2019s lives in Your Word. Teach me devotion like Mary so that my lips will only speak the life and light in Your Word, in Jesus Name.<\/p>\n
