Just after Jesus forgave His accusers, sorted out the thief on the right and sorted out Mary, He experienced abandonment. This scenario plays out at different seasons in our lives. You <!--more-->seem to be doing everything right but for some reason things are not quite working in your favour. It is referred to as the \u2018physician, heal thy self\u2019 condition. Know this, as you hold on to God, He is going to fill your mouth with laughter and your tongue with singing in Jesus Name. Knowing that we will experience abandonment at some point in our lives does not make enduring the process any easier. David had prophesied hundreds of years before Jesus was born about His crucifixion [Recommended reading: <a title=\"Read the Bible\" href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Psalm%2022&amp;version=NLT\" target=\"_blank\">Psalm 22]<\/a>.. \u2018Why have you abandoned me\u2019 Jesus enquired of the Father. Didn\u2019t He know that He was going to be abandoned at some point? He did but knowing did not make it any easier. Jesus, because He was carrying the sins of the whole world, my sins and your, faced abandonment. The load of our sins upon Him w\u00a0sins\u00a0as heavy enough to separate Jesus from the Father. Sin can separate you from God. It was the separation more than anything that caused Jesus to cry out in abandonment. Now imagine this and you will understand when the scripture says &#8216;when you willfully sin, it is as if you are crucifying Jesus again&#8217;. Depending on who abandons you, the pain of abandonment can be even deeper and harder to bear. Being abandoned by the One He totally relied on through His entire ministry was staggering [<a title=\"Read the Bible\" href=\"http:\/\/bible.us\/john14.11.nlt\" target=\"_blank\">see John 14:11]<\/a>. Jesus chose to endure abandonment by the Father for a short time so that you and I will never have to endure abandonment again. In Christ, you enjoy an overflow of attention from our Father.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for enduring pain so that I will have joy eternal.
