It is on shaky ground. The fact that God has a destiny for you does not mean you will fulfill it. I know that this is not popular devotional content and I know it is tough to take in. But if you can open your heart to what God is saying in this season, your life will change drastically.<\/p>\n<p>You are favored but are you worthy? It is possible to be favoured and unworthy. So how do you make your calling sure? Simple; you <!--more-->pay the price. You give diligence. When you do these things, God\u2019s promise is you will never fail. When you do these things, believe me, your life will become a standard that everybody else tries to measure up to. It is possible to be favored and not be worthy. God does not just want you to be favored; He wants you to be favoured and worthy.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus communicates these truths with a brilliant story in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=matthew+22&amp;version=NIV\">Matthew 22 <\/a>[please read]. A certain king [representing God] threw a party but all the people he invited gave excuses &#8211; I just married a wife, I just bought oxen, I just bought a field. So the king threw open the invitation to everybody on the streets, \u201cmy party will be attended, my house will be full\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Do you think the king was trying to save himself from reproach? <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=matthew+22%3A11-14&amp;version=NIV\">Matt.22:<\/a><strong><sup>11<\/sup>\u00a0<\/strong>\u201c<em>But when the king came in to meet the guests, he noticed a man who wasn\u2019t wearing the proper clothes for a wedding. <strong><sup>12<\/sup>\u00a0<\/strong>\u2018Friend,\u2019 he asked, \u2018how is it that you are here without wedding clothes?\u2019 But the man had no reply. <\/em>The man was probably thinking, \u201cWhy am I here without clothes? Are you not the one that begged me to come so your party won\u2019t be a flop? Am I not doing you a favor by being here?\u2019 But hear what the king said, Matt.22:<strong><sup>13<\/sup>\u00a0<\/strong><em>Then the king said to his aides, \u2018Bind his hands and feet and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.\u2019 <strong><sup>14<\/sup>\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cFor many are called, but few are chosen.\u201d<\/em> Your call is a function of favour but being chosen is a function of being worthy. If you are called, it is because you are favored. But if you are chosen, it will be because you are worthy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Prayer<\/strong>: Lord Jesus, help me to give diligence to make my calling and election sure and as You have promised, let failure be far from me, in Jesus Name.
