A Roman infantry soldier mostly travels by foot and by law, he can pick someone to carry his gear for one mile. After going a mile, the person carrying the load is free to give it back. But Jesus is saying, blow his mind, go the extra mile with him. Wow!<\/p>\n
As far as Jesus is concerned, a Christian has to do more than the minimum requirement. If you get this, your life, your work, your finances, and even your walk with God will change. Seeking to do the minimum requirement is to be mediocre. That is not for you. To be excellent, you are to go beyond the call of duty. Jesus expects you to put in extra effort.
