In the gathering of God&#8217;s people, a lot of spiritual activity goes on. Destinies are rearranged for good; defences are set up and it is important<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0that you are aware of what is going on around you because knowledge is very powerful.<\/span><span class=\"s1\">One of the avenues that God uses in releasing supernatural endowment and assistance, (and this is a thread that runs through the Old and New Testament,) is by laying on of hands. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/116\/NUM.27.18\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Num.27:<\/a><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/116\/NUM.27.18\"><span class=\"s2\"><b><sup>18<\/sup><\/b><\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/116\/NUM.27.18\"><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/a><i>\u201cThe Lord replied, \u201cTake Joshua son of Nun, who has the Spirit in him, and <\/i><\/span><span class=\"s3\"><b><i>lay your hands<\/i><\/b><\/span><span class=\"s1\"><i> on him\u2026<\/i>\u201d[with emphasis]. Joshua already had the Holy Spirit but God still instructed Moses to lay his hands on Joshua. Some people, purely out of ignorance, think that because they already have the Holy Spirit they do not need anybody.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/116\/DEU.34.9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"s1\">Deu.34:<\/span><span class=\"s2\"><b><sup>9<\/sup><\/b><\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\"><b> \u201c<\/b><i>Now Joshua son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him<\/i>.\u201d Moses laid his hand on Joshua and the result was explosive. Joshua was one of the few people in the Old Testament that God actually said had the Holy Spirit. However, Moses laying his hands on him changed his life. In the New Testament, God uses the laying of hands to commission people into ministry. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/116\/ACT.6.6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Acts.6:<\/a><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/116\/ACT.6.6\"><span class=\"s2\"><b><sup>6<\/sup><\/b><\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\"><b>\u00a0\u201c<\/b><i>These seven were presented to the apostles, who prayed for them as they laid their hands on them.\u201d <\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Jesus Himself uses the laying of hands. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/116\/MAT.19.13\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Matt.19:<\/a><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/116\/MAT.19.13\"><span class=\"s2\"><b><sup>13<\/sup><\/b><\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\"> \u201c<i>One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could lay his hands on them and pray for them<\/i>.\u201d Not minimizing the importance but the laying on of hands is actually regarded in the Bible as a basic teaching of the Word of God. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/116\/HEB.6.1-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Heb.6:<\/a><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/en-GB\/bible\/116\/HEB.6.1-2\"><span class=\"s2\"><b><sup>1<\/sup><\/b><\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\"><b> <\/b>\u201c<i>So let us stop going over the <\/i><\/span><span class=\"s3\"><b><i>basic teachings<\/i><\/b><\/span><span class=\"s1\"><i> about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely, we don\u2019t need to start again with the <\/i><\/span><span class=\"s3\"><b><i>fundamental importance<\/i><\/b><\/span><span class=\"s1\"><i> of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God. <\/i><\/span><span class=\"s2\"><b><i><sup>2<\/sup><\/i><\/b><\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/b><i>You don\u2019t need further instruction about baptisms, the <\/i><\/span><span class=\"s3\"><b><i>laying on of hands<\/i><\/b><\/span><span class=\"s1\"><i>\u2026\u201d<\/i> [with emphasis]. While it is a fundamental teaching of God\u2019s Word, it is also to be handled with a lot of care. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Prayer<\/b>: Father, please lay Your hands on me and anoint me afresh with Your Spirit, in Jesus Name.
