1st Root of Personal Disharmony: Fear

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 1John 4:18 [KJV]

Fear is at the root of personal disharmony. There is actually no fear in love because perfect love casts out fear. The fear you feel gets its strength from its source. In other words, fear is as strong as the authenticity of the source. The source could be your doctor who has just sent you a negative report based on test results. The next natural reaction to such reports because it is a trusted source is fear. The source of the fear strengthens the fear. When you get a wrong report from a doctor you trust, refuse it and choose to stand in agreement with God, claim healing by the stripes of Jesus. For one it’s the doctor and for another, it’s the fear that parents have infused in them. Many parents cannot discipline their children without the ‘masquerades scare’. Children are not supposed to grow up in fear. Fear is not of God. God wants you to deal with that fear. Parents and people in authority use fear to captivate and manipulate; this is very wrong. The truth is that everyone has to deal with fear, even men of God. Many times we are used to people putting up a hypocritical image just to look spiritual. The truth is we all have fears that we are dealing with. The question to you is will you allow your fear grind you to a halt or will your confront your fear. Never allow fear to confine you because you have a very big God who is always by your side. You might have dabbled into things or have a vision that seems bigger than you. Do not let fear cripple you, instead cry out to God – He never fails to shows up. Do not spend your life trying to find a day you will not be scared. There will never be a day that you will not face uncertainty, rather inspite of the fear step out in faith.

Prayer: I stand in agreement with God about my future. May His love that birthed my today and my tomorrows chase out all my fears, in Jesus Name.
