The Blood
Jude 1:24 “Now, to the one with enough power to prevent you from stumbling into sin[a] and bring you faultless before his glorious presence to stand before him with ecstatic delight.” (TPT)
We start today’s devotional by delving deeper into 1 John 1 from yesterday. We are still looking at the two things that must be in place for us to take bold steps towards God and they are righteousness and single-mindedness. Read the rest of this entry

Psalm 106:4-5 “Remember me, O Lord, when You favour Your people. Visit me with Your salvation [when You rescue them], That I may see the prosperity of Your chosen ones, That I may rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, That I may glory with Your inheritance.” (AMP)
Let us start our time in God’s presence today by thanking Him because it is our time for favour, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. God will lay His hands upon you in the Mighty Name of Jesus and do miracles in your favour instantly, silently, and completely. Read the rest of this entry
Expressions
John 21:17 “Then Jesus asked him again, “Peter, son of John, do you have great affection for me?” Peter was saddened by being asked the third time and said, “My Lord, you know everything. You know that I burn with love for you!” Jesus replied, “Then feed my lambs!” (TPT)
Your expression of love to God depends on your level with God. How an ‘infant’ – a baby Christian, will express love to God is different from how ‘a child’ in God that is not an infant will express love. How a ‘teenager’ in Christ will express love is different from how a ‘child’ would. Read the rest of this entry
Premise, Promise
John 8:32 “And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Has there been a time when all you thought you knew about life or a particular subject was shredded by the truth? Maybe you thought you were clear on a subject, then you encountered truth and realized that you did not know anything. That feeling or such experiences are actually a prerequisite for growth Read the rest of this entry
In Time
John 6:14-15 “When the people saw him do this miraculous sign, they exclaimed, “Surely, he is the Prophet we have been expecting!” When Jesus saw that they were ready to force him to be their king, he slipped away into the hills by himself.” (emphasis added).
I always like to imagine how things would play out in scenarios like this one. After they had eaten and everyone was full, the people said to Him with excitement in their voice, ‘Jesus, welcome! We thought You could only heal. We did not know You could also give bread.’ Read the rest of this entry
Dabar
Heb.4:12 “For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.”
John connects John 1:1 with Genesis 1:1 in a beautiful way. The Book of Genesis in Hebrew text is called Bereshit and it means “in the beginning”. Meaning the entire Book of Genesis is called the beginning. Jn.1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (NRSV, emphasis added). Gen.1:1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (emphasis added). Read the rest of this entry
His Love
Ps. 119:67-68 “I used to wander off until you disciplined me; but now I closely follow your word. You are good and do only good; teach me your decrees.” (emphasis added).
We [human parents] do not discipline. We do more than discipline, we punish. What is the difference? Remember my story from yesterday? That moment when I see my grandmother and immediately, I wish I was lost again. Read the rest of this entry
Relationships
Dan.2:17 “…Daniel… told his friends… what had happened. 18 He urged them to ask the God of heaven to show them his mercy by telling them the secret, so they would not be executed along with the other wise men… 19 That night the secret was revealed to Daniel in a vision…”
Daniel had friends, people he was doing life with, people who could pray for him and with him. Do you have friends? Daniel was in a “Life group”, are you in a Life group? You are the average of the three people you spend the most time with. Read the rest of this entry
Ripening
James 1:2 “… when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. 3 For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.”
