In-Step

1 Samuel 9:24 “…Take a look. This was set aside for you. Eat and enjoy it all because this has been reserved for you until the appointed time… So Saul feasted with Samuel the rest of the day.” (Voice)

Do not rush. If you are an entrepreneur, I am sure you have heard the term first movers advantage. Another research shows that the first movers advantage is a myth. The research states that companies that are improvers, not the originators of the ideas, actually do far better than the Read the rest of this entry

Ponder vs. Wonder

Ps. 119:105-106 “Your words are a flashlight to light the path ahead of me and keep me from stumbling. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again and again: I will obey these wonderful laws of yours.” (TLB)

To be positioned for God’s blessings, particularly this season and beyond, we have to cooperate like Joseph, celebrate like the shepherds, and contemplate like Mary. Mary contemplated. Luke 2:17-19When they had seen him, they told what the angels had said about this child. Everyone was amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured these things and CONTINUED TO THINK ABOUT THEM.” (NCV, emphasis added). Read the rest of this entry

From Observation

1 Cor. 10:11 “The things that happened to those people are examples. They were written down to teach us, because we live in a time when all these things of the past have reached their goal.” (NCV)

If you look closely at John 20:1-2 and at how the whole thing panned out, you would realize that these people had no expectations. They came and saw the stone had been rolled away and they still did not think Jesus was resurrected. Instead, they thought someone had stolen His body. Read the rest of this entry

The People, I

John 7:17-18 “Anyone who wants to do the will of God will know whether my teaching is from God or is merely my own. Those who speak for themselves want glory only for themselves, but a person who seeks to honour the one who sent him speaks truth, not lies.”

Over the next few days, we will be studying John 7:25-53 [please read]. Studying the Book of John has been amazing. I want you to read the following passages on your own: John 6:16-21, John 6:22-59, John 6:60-70, and John 7:1-25. Devote a day to each section or more and really get into God’s Word. Supernatural Provision

Matt.17:27 “However, we don’t want to offend them, so go down to the lake and throw in a line. Open the mouth of the first fish you catch, and you will find a large silver coin. Take it and pay the tax for both of us.”

Have you ever experienced supernatural provision? Yes, God wants us to work, to invest, and God wants us to save. We have done several teachings on God’s heart for work and for our finances – earn some, save some, invest some, spend less, no loss, give more, and faith it. Read the rest of this entry

Receive & Practice

Philip.4:9 “Practice what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and model your way of living on it, and the God of peace (of untroubled, undisturbed well-being) will be with you.” (AMPC)

John 1:29The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him and declared, “Here is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (NRSV, emphasis added). The Lamb of God that takes away, that cleanses the sins of the world. Cleansing is part of the package delivered to us by Jesus. Read the rest of this entry

Appetizer

2 Tim. 2:15 “Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.”

John is one of the four Books in the New Testament [Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John] called the Gospels of the Lord Jesus Christ. The first three [Matthew, Mark, and Luke] are known as the synoptic Gospels because they are similar in reference. Read the rest of this entry

Word Probe

2 Tim.2:15 “Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.”

We are going into a study of the Book of John. Let me tell you upfront, we are going to be drinking from a water hydrant [gushing streams] so be prepared. The question is how hungry are you and what can you take in? My prayer is that you will take all in, in Jesus Name [say Amen]. Read the rest of this entry

Word!

Josh.1:8 Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.

You and I need to read, study, memorize, meditate on and speak the Word of God. We need to be more deliberate about putting God’s Word in the hearts and mouths of our children. The mind of a child is like a sponge, it Read the rest of this entry

Engrafted

1Pet.1:23 “For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God” [with emphasis]

Yesterday, we talked about the two types of truth abusers, which are the naïve and the brutal truth abusers. You have to know which one you are tilted towards. I am tilted just a little bit to the brutal.
