What’s Next?

Acts 8:36-38 “As they rode along, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “Look! There’s some water! Why can’t I be baptized?” He ordered the carriage to stop, and they went down into the water, and Philip baptized him.”

Everyone has a next step because growth requires movement. You have a next step in your business, in your career, and even in your spiritual life. Your next step could be to get baptized, or your next step could be to go through a spiritual growth class. Read the rest of this entry

In-Step

1 Samuel 9:24 “…Take a look. This was set aside for you. Eat and enjoy it all because this has been reserved for you until the appointed time… So Saul feasted with Samuel the rest of the day.” (Voice)

Do not rush. If you are an entrepreneur, I am sure you have heard the term first movers advantage. Another research shows that the first movers advantage is a myth. The research states that companies that are improvers, not the originators of the ideas, actually do far better than the Read the rest of this entry

Battle Cry

Ps.140:6-7 “Eternal One,” I said, “You are my one and only God. Hear me, O Eternal, hear my humble cry for rescue. O Lord, Eternal One, power of my deliverance, You are my helmet in the day of battle.” (Voice)

A huge component in the creative process is prophesying. It is the first step in the creative process. Ezekiel was standing in the valley of dry bones, a hopeless situation, and God said to him “prophesy, son of man, and say…” [Eze.37:1-14, please read]. Read the rest of this entry

Be More!

1 Sam.1:11 And she made this vow: “O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, if you will look upon my sorrow and answer my prayer and give me a son, then I will give him back to you. He will be yours for his entire lifetime, and as a sign that he has been dedicated to the Lord, his hair will never be cut.”

We are not asking just to get more from God, we are asking of God so that we can be more for Him. God is going to saturate your life with favour, in the Name of Jesus. Read the rest of this entry

His Name Not Yours

Dan.9:17 “O our God, hear your servant’s prayer! Listen as I plead. For your own sake, Lord, smile again on your desolate sanctuary.”

I have found in my walk with God, that one of the strongest pleas in supplication is “for your own sake” and Daniel also deployed this. Read the rest of this entry

Of The Heart

Acts 9:39 “So Peter returned with them… they took him to the upstairs room… filled with widows who were weeping and showing him the coats and other clothes Dorcas had made for them. 40 …then he knelt and prayed… 41 …Then he …presented her to them alive.”

In Step

John 14:“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”

Our heavenly Father is a perfect example of love, wisdom, and sufficiency. He says, “I Am that I Am – I Am sufficient in Myself” and we should follow His example.

To Action

Dan.9:2 “During the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, learned from reading the word of the Lord, as revealed to Jeremiah the prophet” [with emphasis]

Our scripture reference today shows us that Daniel did not have the answers. But Daniel learned from reading Books – the Word of the Lord in the Book of Jeremiah. Bottom line, Daniel was really smart but he still had to read. Read the rest of this entry

Step Up Lesson 1

Gen.4:When it was time for the harvest, Cain presented some of his crops as a gift to the Lord. Abel also brought a gift—the best portions of the firstborn lambs from his flock. The Lord accepted Abel and his gift, but he did not accept Cain and his gift…”

Cain must have thought, after all, the cattle on a thousand hills belong to God so He really does not need anything. So Cain gives God a shabby offering and moves on. But the Bible says that God had no respect for Cain and for his offering. Read the rest of this entry

Evidence of Faith

James 2:18 (Voice) “I know what you’re thinking: “OK, you have faith. And I have actions. Now let’s see your faith without works, and I’ll show you a faith that works.”

Works are an evidence of faith. You cannot separate works from faith. Some people claim to have faith but not works and others pride themselves in their works without faith. However, James is saying “how can you have faith without work or how can you have works without faith?” Read the rest of this entry
