Active Faith

Heb.11:6 “And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him”

 

God wants us to Step Up in different areas of our lives. We have looked at how to step up financially and spiritually. Earn Some!

2 Thess. 3:12 “In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we appeal to people–no, we command them: Settle down and get to work. Earn your own living” [with emphasis]

 

When it comes to stepping up financially, there are seven areas in which you have to Step Up in concurrently otherwise you will have a problem stepping up financially. But if you Step Up in these areas, you will inevitably Step Up financially, in Jesus Name. Read the rest of this entry

Higher Still

1 Tim. 6:10 “For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.” [with emphasis]

 

It is crowded at the bottom; there is a lot of confusion and limited visibility. At the bottom is where contention and strife thrive. There are certain advantages you cannot take at the bottom. Read the rest of this entry

Give Up!

Isa.40:30 “Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

 

You just have to wait on the Lord. The word “wait” in today’s Scripture reference is a complex word and it means to hope, to trust, to be entangled with, a sense of dependence on God. Waiting on God can include fasting but it is beyond fasting. Read the rest of this entry

Time & Effort

2 Kings 17:36 But worship only the Lord, who brought you out of Egypt with great strength and a powerful arm. Bow down to him alone, and offer sacrifices only to him.

 

Ps. 147:11 [ERV] The Lord enjoys people who worship him and trust in his faithful love.” God wants you to worship Him in spirit and in truth. He wants you to release your spirit, your soul, and your body to Him. Read the rest of this entry

Rev.4:1 Then as I looked, I saw a door standing open in heaven, and the same voice I had heard before spoke to me like a trumpet blast. The voice said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this”.

Up There!

Rev.4:1 Then as I looked, I saw a door standing open in heaven, and the same voice I had heard before spoke to me like a trumpet blast. The voice said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this.” [with emphasis]

 

God is calling you to come up so that you can hear what He is hearing. There are things that you need to hear that cannot be heard from down there. There are things that can only be heard from up there. Read the rest of this entry

Access Card

No matter how high you are, no matter what level you are in God, there is always a higher level in God. Some people claim to be on the mountain consistently or have all the spiritual inoculations and so they do not need to engage in spiritual practices to go up higher. Read the rest of this entry

Acts 2:46 “They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity— 47 all the while praising God…”

 

Relationships: You are the average of the three people that you spend the most time with. If you spend most of your time with people that are not going anywhere, guess what? Over time you will be the third person that is not going anywhere. Read the rest of this entry

Own Up & Be Yourself

Ps.139:14 “Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous – how well I know it”

 

You cannot step up if you do not own up. Regardless of how much you have failed, Jesus is inviting you to step up. Regardless of how much success you have had, Jesus is inviting you to step up. But you cannot step up if you do not own up. Read the rest of this entry
