Be Watchful

Nehemiah 2:7-8 “…If it pleases the king, may I have letters to the governors of Trans-Euphrates, so that they will provide me safe-conduct…? And may I have a letter to Asaph, … so he will give me timber… because the gracious hand of my God was on me, the king granted my requests.” (NIV)

Nehemiah narrated everything he needed, and the king gave Nehemiah what he needed for the journey, even to the guards he needed for the journey (please read Nehemiah 2:4-9). Nehemiah started the work but some detractors tried to stop him, and they failed. Read the rest of this entry

In Faith

1 John 5:4-5 “You see, every child of God overcomes the world, for our faith is the victorious power that triumphs over the world. So who are the world conquerors, defeating its power? Those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.” (TPT)

So, when choosing or joining a team, look out for and Choose People Who Want To Love And Serve God. Secondly, Choose People Committed To Growing In Character. Thirdly, Choose People Who Do What Is Right Even When It Is Hard. Read the rest of this entry

Right People

2 Corinthians 6:14 “Don’t develop partnerships with those who are not followers of Jesus’ teachings. For what real connection can exist between righteousness and rebellion? How can light participate in darkness? (Voice)

Over the past few days, we looked at the reasons why we need to be a part of a community, why we need to join a team, and why we need to be part of a team. However, in choosing a team or in joining a team, there are a couple of things we should look out for. Read the rest of this entry

More Gains

Ecclesiastes 4:10 “If you fall, your friend can help you up. But if you fall without having a friend nearby, you are really in trouble.” (CEV)

It would be a shame for anyone to be in a church family and if that person gets into trouble, he or she has to deal with it all alone. That will be a big shame. God has bought us all into a church family so that we can be a part of a community. Read the rest of this entry

Better Together

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 “It’s better to have a partner than go it alone. Share the work, share the wealth. And if one falls down, the other helps. But if there’s no one to help, tough!” (MSG)

Why do we need community? We Need Community To Make Up For Our Weaknesses. We Need Community To Bring Out The Best In Us. We Need Community To Get More Done. Ecclesiastes 4:9 Two can accomplish more than twice as much as one, for the results can be much better.” Read the rest of this entry

The Advantage

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 “Two people are better than one, because they get more done by working together. If one falls down, the other can help him up. But it is bad for the person who is alone and falls, because no one is there to help.”

Your community determines your anointing and influences the heights you can attain. What about the people in community who are not making progress? Well, those are exceptions, but my prayer is that their own lives will also change because of what God is doing with the rest of us in the Name of Jesus. Read the rest of this entry

Right Company

1 Samuel 18:1 “…Jonathan was deeply impressed with David—an immediate bond was forged between them. He became totally committed to David. From that point on he would be David’s number-one advocate and friend.” (MSG)

We need models, mentors, and allies, and we need friends; God puts us in community where we will have access to these four kinds of people. Where do you want to be in five years? If you do not have a model for where you want to be in five years, a model who has been there and that you are imitating, Read the rest of this entry

In Community

Luke 11:1-2 “Once Jesus was in a certain place praying. As he finished, one of his disciples came to him and said, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.” Jesus said, “This is how you should pray…”

As we tackle this decade of destiny, this decade of light, in addition to choosing the Right Values and choosing the Right Guide, we need to choose the Right Team. Back to the illustration of the doors, when the light comes on, we can see the opportunities that lie ahead of us. Read the rest of this entry

Together

Ecclesiastes 4:9 &12Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed… A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.”

God creates people and puts them in community because we are designed for community. Do you know that the number one problem of man was not sin? The number one problem of man was isolation. Genesis 2:18 Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.” Read the rest of this entry

Acts 8:36-38 “As they rode along, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “Look! There’s some water! Why can’t I be baptized?” He ordered the carriage to stop, and they went down into the water, and Philip baptized him.”

Everyone has a next step because growth requires movement. You have a next step in your business, in your career, and even in your spiritual life. Your next step could be to get baptized, or your next step could be to go through a spiritual growth class. Read the rest of this entry
