Release & Replace

Psalm 8:4 “what are human beings, that you think of them; mere mortals, that you care for them?” (GNT)

RELEASE Those Who Hurt You. One of the biggest misconceptions that a lot of us have is that if we forgive ‘them’, then they are free. No! When you forgive them, then you are free. It has nothing to do with them. They will reap the harvest of their actions in full measure, pressed down, shaken together, Read the rest of this entry

Reveal It!

Psalm 34:17-18 “Is anyone crying for help? God is listening, ready to rescue you. If your heart is broken, you’ll find God right there; if you’re kicked in the gut, he’ll help you catch your breath.” (MSG)

One of the things we tend to do when we are going through an emotionally challenging time is to hide our hurt. We put up a ‘good face’ in church, at home, and amongst friends – a façade! When people ask, ‘How are you doing?’, you respond, ‘I am good!’ Meanwhile, you are bleeding and dying inside. Read the rest of this entry

Godly Mind

Romans 12:2 “Do not allow this world to mould you in its own image. Instead, be transformed from the inside out by renewing your mind. As a result, you will be able to discern what God wills and whatever God finds good, pleasing, and complete.” (Voice)

Sometimes, when we think about God transforming us, we imagine that thunder will strike from heaven and the whole earth will shake. But the Bible says God transforms us by changing the way we think. Never Forget

Isaiah 49:15 “…Is it possible for a mother, however disappointed, however hurt, to forget her nursing child? Can she feel nothing for the baby she carried and birthed? Even if she could, I, God, will never forget you.” (Voice)

We are on number two out of the four things that we must remember to keep us strong. The first is Remember That This Will Pass. Read the rest of this entry

Be Ready

Nehemiah 2:4-5 “The king said to me, “What is it you want?” Then I prayed to the God of heaven, and I answered the king, “If it pleases the king and if your servant has found favour in his sight, let him send me to the city in Judah… so that I can rebuild it.” (NIV)

We will pick up today’s devotional from where we left off yesterday, which is that a door may be three things. A door may be An Opportunity From God, A Distraction From Others, or A Trap From Satan. A door may actually be An Opportunity From God. Read the rest of this entry
