Take It Back, IV

Psalm 126:3 “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with JOY.” (NIV, emphasis added).

The Lord has done what great things for us, so we focus on the great things that the Lord has done, and we are filled with joy. The opposite is also true; if you do not focus in on the great things the Lord has done for you, you will not be filled with joy. Read the rest of this entry

Know Christ

Phil.3:10 “I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead…” (emphasis added)

To experience the mighty power that raised Jesus from the dead, you have to know Christ. To get up and be all that we are meant to be, we must know Christ. We must know the Living Jesus, that Jesus Christ is alive. We must know the King Jesus, that Jesus Christ is King. Read the rest of this entry

In Context

John 7:37-38 “On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’”

Let me give you some background to today’s anchor scripture. The festival here is the festival of Tabernacles also knows as the festival of Shelters, or the festival of Booths [Succoth]. Who Are You?

Gal.5:16 (NIV) “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

We are starting today’s devotional by diving headfirst into God’s Word. John 1:19-23This is the testimony given by John when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?” He confessed and did not deny it, but confessed, “I am not the Messiah.” And they asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the prophet?” He answered, “No.” Then they said to him, “Who are you? Let us have an answer for those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?” He said, “I am the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way of the Lord,’” as the prophet Isaiah said.” (NRSV). Conscious

1Cor.12:1 “Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant” (KJV)

When Christians operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, they totally frustrate the enemy. Therefore, the enemy is excited when Christians are ignorant. For the enemy to succeed, the Christian has to be ignorant. For the enemy to succeed in your business, in your finances, in your health there must be ignorance somewhere. Read the rest of this entry

The Exchange I

Job 42:5-6 “I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes. I take back everything I said, and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance.”
