Martha and Mary had this Jesus that they loved, but the question on their minds was, “Can He help us?” They knew Jesus wanted to help, but they were not sure if He could help. Their dilemma was they were not sure if Jesus could help. Read the rest of this entry
Heb.11:1-2 (ERV) “Faith is what makes real the things we hope for. It is proof of what we cannot see. God was pleased with the people who lived a long time ago because they had faith like this.”
Ps.34:5 “Those who look to Him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces.” (emphasis added). What it means is that what I believe affects how I act, Read the rest of this entry
Ps.24:1 “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him.”
You need to know that satan does not have a way. The devil will use any way that is not the way of God. So, he will show up in the way of self and in the way of the world. Read the rest of this entry
Prov. 18:7 (MSG) “Fools are undone by their big mouths; their souls are crushed by their words. 8 Listening to gossip is like eating cheap candy; do you really want junk like that in your belly?”
You have to make sure that gossip has no place in your life. I strongly believe that not everyone that goes around gossiping is evil; some are, but most of them are just idle and ignorant.
Matt.5:44 (KJV) “…Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who despitefully use you…” [with emphasis].
The sixth way to deal with difficult people is to Respond With Love. To respond with love, you must remember two things; inspite of people’s behaviour or what they have done, in spite of how irresponsible or how saucy they are, God loves them. Read the rest of this entry
Gal.6:4 (Philips) “Let everyone learn to assess properly the value of his own work. Then he can be rightly proud when he has done something worth doing, without depending on the approval of others” [with emphasis]

Eph.1:18 (KJV) “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints”

Yesterday we talked about three kinds of boasts; man’s boast, God’s boast and satan’s boast. Today we will be learning the two ways of escaping satan’s boast. The first way is to not ever sin from the day you were born till the day you die. Read the rest of this entry
1 Tim.5:22 [GW] “Don’t be in a hurry to place your hands on anyone [to ordain him]. Don’t participate in the sin of others. Keep yourself morally pure”
The King James Version for 1Timothy 5:22 reads, “Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be a partaker of other men’s sins: keep thyself pure”. The question to those who are thinking of going into a business is, is the person you are about to partner with worthy? It really does not matter if the person is your brother, or sister, or uncle, or your father. If you enter into a business deal with somebody that is unworthy, you are going to exit crying. In this life, worthiness is totally indispensable. Sometimes, people complain that they Read the rest of this entry
Matt.22:13 Then the king said to his aides, ‘Bind his hands and feet and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ 14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.”
Please read Matthew 22. If you are like me, you would agree that the king’s sentence is rather harsh, right? When I read this, I wrestled with it. What has he done to deserve being cast into outer darkness, where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth? And then it occurred to me that being called is a function of favour but being chosen is a function of being worthy. Many are called but few are chosen. I pray that you will be part of the chosen and that you will be worthy in Jesus Name.
