Zacchaeus

When Jesus came by, He looked up at Zacchaeus and called him by name, ‘Zacchaeus!’  He said, ‘Quick, come down for I must be a guest in your home today.” Lu.19:6 [emphasis added]

 

Many times, the person we see in the mirror is not the person that we want to be. In other words, the things that are proceeding out of our lives are not congruent with the things that we desire of our lives. What Is Love?

“If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing” I Cor.13:2

 

The vertical side of love is how God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so everyone that believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life [John 3:16]. It is love that God will call us His own and make us His own children. It is love that we have access to the Father.

Imitate God

Some people feel they need to be controlled and brought under submission. Such people do not respond to kindness, goodness, and to benevolence, they only respond to terror.
