This John, I

1Jn.1:1 “We proclaim to you the one who existed from the beginning, whom we have heard and seen. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is the Word of life.” (emphasis added).

John was big on love and relationship; he is known as the Apostle of Love. John is the one who would tell us in his letters that, “God is love; he that loveth not knoweth not God…” [1 John 4:7-8 please read]. James had a similar theme, but John was heavily focused on love. Word Probe

2 Tim.2:15 “Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.”

We are going into a study of the Book of John. Let me tell you upfront, we are going to be drinking from a water hydrant [gushing streams] so be prepared. Compassionately Yours

Psalm 13:5 (NKJV) “But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.”

Christlike

New Beginnings

The Testament

Rev.19:10 (NKJV) “And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

Intimately

Acts 3:25 “You are the children of those prophets, and you are included in the covenant God promised to your ancestors. For God said to Abraham, ‘Through your descendants all the families on earth will be blessed.’ 26 When God raised up his servant, Jesus… to bless you…

The second prophecy we considered is, the Messiah will be the descendant of Abraham and through Him all the nations of the earth will be blessed. Yesterday we saw the prophecy and we saw its fulfillment in scripture. Read the rest of this entry
