Warning!

Matthew 6:14-15 “In prayer there is a connection between what God does and what you do. You can’t get forgiveness from God, for instance, without also forgiving others. If you refuse to do your part, you cut yourself off from God’s part.” (MSG)

We will kick off today’s devotional with our final thought from yesterday. Forgiveness is not about deserving; forgiveness is about preserving. Forgiveness is not about if ‘they’ deserve it or not. Forgiveness is about preserving your own heart so that you do not become a bitter person. Read the rest of this entry

In Sync

Psalm 119:60 “Without delay, I hurry to obey your commands.” (GNT, emphasis added)

Following the Holy Spirit is a skill, but you can learn it. And I pray that you will learn it in this season in the Name of Jesus. 1Kings 8:58May he keep us centred and devoted to him, following the life path he has cleared, watching the signposts, walking at the pace and rhythms he laid down for our ancestors.” (MSG). In Time

Ecclesiastes 8:6 “There is a right time and a right way to do everything, but we know so little!” (GNT, emphasis added).

A lot of people seem to have two left legs. It is as if they are always stumbling. They do the right thing at the wrong time and do the wrong thing at the right time. A lot of people are usually out of sync, out of rhythm. I pray today that your life will come into the rhythm of heaven in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Read the rest of this entry

Your Response, IV

Psalm 34:5 “Look to Him and shine, so shame will never contort your faces.” (Voice)

We will kick off today’s devotional with our final thought from yesterday which is that where you look determines what flows to you. Are you looking at the Source of light or are you looking at social media and what is trending? Are you looking at which celebrity is saying what, or what is going on in the news? Three Things

Proverbs 18:15 “The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, for the ears of the wise seek it out.”

You need three things to get the best out of life. The first is Discernment. When God came to Solomon, discernment was one of the major things Solomon asked for. Read the rest of this entry

Step By Step, II

Isaiah 30:21 “Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.”

So far, we have looked at three out of six steps to being led by the Holy Spirit – Pause And Be Quiet, Humbly Ask The Holy Spirit To Guide You, and Be Willing To Do What He Says.

Step #4: Look To God’s Word. Read the rest of this entry

Step By Step, I

Galatians 5:25 “Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives; let’s keep each step in perfect sync with God’s Spirit; we must also allow the Spirit to direct every aspect of our lives.” (NLT, VOICE, TPT)

If I let the Holy Spirit guide me, He will help me know what I need to know, He will help me go where I need to go, He will help me say what I need to say, the Holy Spirit will help me wait for god’s perfect timing, He helps me resist the things I can’t normally resist. Read the rest of this entry

In Step

Galatians 5:25 “Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives; let’s keep each step in perfect sync with God’s Spirit; we must also allow the Spirit to direct every aspect of our lives.” (NLT, VOICE, TPT)

What will happen to me if I let the Holy Spirit guide me, if I let Him help me? He will help me know what I need to know. Secondly, He will help me go where I need to go. Thirdly, He will help me say what I need to say. Read the rest of this entry

Right Words

Matthew 10:19-20 “…do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.” (NIV, emphasis added).

We will kick-off today with our final thought from yesterday which is, that only God can make a wave. A surfer’s job, the believer’s job is to watch for the waves and surf the waves that God creates. Interestingly, some people try to make the waves themselves and that is a problem. Read the rest of this entry

Follow Him

Luke 4:1 “Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit in the wilderness”

I can give you loads and loads of examples from my personal life, where the Holy Spirit gave very clear instructions such as stop, now go, tell them this amount, once you tell them this amount keep quiet. It never ever gets old! Years ago, I was coming from a night vigil with people in my car. Read the rest of this entry
