Beyond The Kiss

Ruth 1:8-9 “But on the way, Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, “Go back to your mothers’ homes. And may the Lord reward you for your kindness to your husbands and to me. May the Lord bless you with the security of another marriage.” Then she kissed them good-bye…”

Orpah stuck with Naomi even beyond the death of her husband, Naomi’s son. And that is extremely commendable. To think that such a person still will not make it to

Robed & Sifted

Luke 24:49 “And now I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. But stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with power from heaven.”

Every major work that will be done for God, must be by the power of God. God has a great destiny for you. You are made for more. But wait until you get filled and robed with power.  I pray that God will robe you with power. Yes, you are made for more,

Acts 1:11 “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why are you standing here staring into heaven? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!”

There is just so much in this passage of Scripture. This same Jesus. Think about it, Jesus was taken up into heaven, right? The question is, why didn’t He just disappear? He could have.

Convict vs. Condemn

Romans 8:1 “Now the case is closed. There remains no accusing voice of condemnation against those who are joined in life-union with Jesus, the Anointed One… who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” (TPT & NLT)

The Holy Spirit Convicts Of Us Of Our Need For God. The Holy Spirit does not condemn us. It is the devil and his agents that condemn. The Holy Spirit convicts us. What is the difference between Read the rest of this entry

Needed Help

Romans 8:15-16 “So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.”

Your Hearing

John 10:14&27 “I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me… My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”

God is supernatural. God is a Spirit. We do not see God. I understand that. So, learning to hear God’s voice takes practice, but it is possible. And that is why in God’s Favourite House, we have the New Creation Reality classes, Read the rest of this entry

Friendship

Matthew 11:29 “Walk with me and work with me – watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.” (MSG)

The Holy Spirit has come to teach you how to know God, but you have to spend time with Him. Imagine this, exams are drawing close and student B spends all her time reading romantic novels. And then when it is time for the exam, Read the rest of this entry

Teacher

Luke 12:12 “for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.” (NIV)

The key to life with God is The Holy Spirit. The first thing The Holy Spirit does for you is He Connects You To God’s Presence Forever. The Second thing The Holy Spirit does for you is He Teaches You How To Know God. Jesus gave you Read the rest of this entry

Fill vs. Feel

Acts 2:4 “And they were all filled (diffused throughout their souls) with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other (different, foreign) languages (tongues), as the Spirit kept giving them clear and loud expression [in each tongue in appropriate words].” (AMPC)

Our final thought from yesterday’s devotional was that marriage is not the solution to loneliness. The Holy Spirit is the only answer to loneliness. Marriage does not end loneliness. Again, this is always a shock to single people. Read the rest of this entry

The Answer

Matthew 28:20 “…I am with you always [remaining with you perpetuallyregardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.” (AMP, emphasis added).

Not only is this empowering for us not to commit evil, but it is also empowering for us to always be comforted, for us to always have company. If you have the presence of the Holy Spirit, you are carrying the Maker of the heavens and the earth. Read the rest of this entry
