John 6:14-15 “When the people saw him do this miraculous sign, they exclaimed, “Surely, he is the Prophet we have been expecting!” When Jesus saw that they were ready to force him to be their king, he slipped away into the hills by himself.” (emphasis added).
I always like to imagine how things would play out in scenarios like this one. After they had eaten and everyone was full, the people said to Him with excitement in their voice, ‘Jesus, welcome! We thought You could only heal. We did not know You could also give bread.’ Read the rest of this entry
Job 42:5-6 “I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes. I take back everything I said, and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance.”
Sometimes, because we cannot see very far, we tend to argue with God. We look at our lives and we question God’s heart and His goodness. Why did You not do this and why did You not answer that prayer. Read the rest of this entry
Prov.21:31 “The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the Lord.”
The Jews today are one of the most enterprising people on earth. For a Jew, preparing the horse for a battle is a no-brainer. Yet, every Jew also knows that they can do their part, but if Jehovah does not bless it, nothing happens. To think that everything is God is ignorance because your part is to prepare the horse for battle. Read the rest of this entry
