‘Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in Me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing’ John15:5

How will you treat a relationship that is your life? Let’s assume that an individual is living in abject poverty. Then one day, the president of the nation says to him ‘show up 4am Monday to Friday this week because I will show up on one of those days and give you a contract that will turn your life

around’.What will the person do or shall I ask what you will do? I presume there will be no question of ‘I am sorry’ or lateness. Guess what, with God Almighty, your life and your eternity hangs on your relationship with Him. How have you been treating this relationship? Has praying, your devotion time or bible reading become an afterthought? It is because you do not understand that as a Christian, without Jesus, you can do nothing. You need to get to the point where you can’t do without Jesus because your next breath is not guaranteed without Him. God wants to get you to a place where He is not just a solution but He is your need. Jesus has to be the life that you breathe for you to climb the heights that you see. He is not just the answer that you go after but He becomes the very air that you breathe. How you treat a relationship that is your life is that you put your whole life into it. God cannot be equated to having a passion, make Jesus your life, your daily bread. Get personal with God – His hands are extended, reach out and hold it. Forget about time and focus on God. Can you do without Jesus; have you been doing without Jesus? Have you been saying you cannot do without Jesus but you have actually been doing without Him? God wants you and I to live our lives as though without Him we are dead because in truth, without Him we are dead. If God withdraws for one day, it’s all over. I need God to survive, what about you?

Prayer [song]: This is the air I breathe, Your holy presence living in me. This is my daily bread, Your very word spoken to me. And I’m desperate for You, …I’m lost without You
