Sources of Storms IV

‘It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins, Jesus answered. This happened so the power of God could be seen in him’ John 9:3

Some storms arise by divine appointment. In other words, the storm is born out of predestination. You have been divinely appointed to meet with the storm. Some people have a hard time understanding or accepting that storms are borne out of divine appointment because all they know about God is that He is good all the time. Guess what, even in the midst of such storms, God is all together good. ‘The LORD is righteous in all His ways, and holy in all His works’ Ps.145:17. If you are experiencing such a storm it is because God is good. ‘This happened so the power of God could be seen in him’. The beauty of such storms is that God’s power will show forth. There are storms that have been scheduled for you to pass through. Relax and watch the power of God shine forth in you. Even Jesus experienced this kind of storm and in the end; the power of God was on display for all to see. Inspite of the storm, God is still good all the time. In Mark 4, whose idea was it for the disciples to cross over to the other side? It was Jesus’ idea; in fact He got into the boat and went to sleep. How else would you know that it is possible for you to experience such a storm and still be on your feet if God does not schedule it in your path? These kinds of storms many times are learning and growing route for us. Note however, that Jesus did not send them into the storm alone. You are not alone. When God shows you a vision, most times He lets you into the beginning and the end. He does not show you the middle because He knows that unless He divinely schedules it for you, you will run away. For some, the storm is your spouse. Yes God approved your marrying her but He did not show you the storm you are now facing. Why, because that storm is scheduled for you. Keep your eyes on God and trust that His glory will shine forth in your marriage. Some storms are scheduled, orchestrated to build our faith. Don’t be afraid to follow Jesus to the other side.

Prayer: Lord, let Your power shine forth in every divinely appointed storm that i will go through. Increase my tenacity; and let Your will be done in my life, in Jesus Name
