The Intangible Word

‘The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy’ Mark.4:16.

The greatest resources any man has are his intangible resources. Have you noticed that everyone seems to have similar material possessions? However, the things that differentiate us are our intangible possessions which are our greatest assets. The same thing applies to a nation or a people. Their greatest asset would be their intangible resources and not oil or gold. This is not discounting oil, gold, cars or other material possessions; they bring immense value but are not the most valuable. This is why God instructed that we take our eyes off the things that can be seen [temporal]; and keep them on the things that cannot be seen [eternal]. Vision is an intangible resource of a people. About the people building the tower of babel, God said as long as there is a unified vision, nothing will be impossible to them. Every attack on your physical resources by the enemy is actually meant to damage your intangible resource. Once he can keep you focused on the things that can be seen, he can defeat you every time. However, when your eyes are focused on the intangible things, even when the tangible ones are lost, you are confident that you can recreate them again. The greatest intangible resource of any believer is the Word of God. Which is why the battle against your quiet time is so fierce but you must ensure you win it by keeping your eyes locked on God. Offence will flush out the efficacy of the Word in your life. Flush out offense. Once the Word becomes flesh to you, you become unstoppable. The value of your intangible resource depends on how much of the Word you expose yourself to. The roots of every plant are its intangible resource. The life of that plant depends greatly on the roots of that plant. When the roots are unable to grow down into the ground the days of that plant are numbered. Yet when its roots grow down deep, the plant is little affected by changing seasons. Let your roots grow down deep into God’s Word and the Spirit.

Prayer: Lord, help me order my focus to the things that are eternal. Deepen my understanding and revelation of Your Word and cause my roots to grow down into Your Spirit, in Jesus Name.
