Occupied By A Giant

‘that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the FatherPhil.2:10-11

There is a goliath between you and the actualization of your destiny [written and envisioned]. There is no vacant promise land. Every promise land is occupied by a giant. The more lucrative the land, the greater the giants occupying it. [Study 1 Samuel 17]. David had to deal with goliath. Daniel had to deal with the prince of persia. Guess what, as you stay with God that goliath is coming down. The problem with people is that they get overwhelmed by the size of the Goliath. You should not allow the size of goliath bother you. Instead, you should get charged up by the size of your God. When you stand before goliath, don’t look at him, look at your God and tell goliath what you can see. Goliath laughed David to scorn because of what David brought in his hands to battle. And David said to Goliath, ‘you come to me with a sword, shield and a spear. You are a fool for thinking I am coming to you with a rod and a sling. I come to you in the Name of the Lord of Hosts whose armies you have defied; today I will cut off your head and feed it to the birds’. David killed goliath right there. David did not have a sword yet he said he was going to cut off Goliaths head. Listen, take your focus off goliath. You have a God that can blow away goliath with the blast of His nostrils. Do not be like the Jews who looked at themselves as grass hoppers in relation to the people occupying their promise land. ‘The lion came, I killed it, the bear came I killed it. That same God will bring this goliath down’. Again I urge you to keep your eyes on that same God. ‘For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly placesEph.6:12. These different categories of evil forces represent the goliaths we have to battle. These forces prevent a lot of people from entering into their destinies in God. Every goliath will bow down to the Name of Jesus.

Prayer: My Lord Strong and Mighty, I ask that You do to every goliath in my promise land what You did with the goliath in David’s time, in Jesus Name.
