Become All God Wants You To Be
‘…Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us’ Rom.12:3
‘For everything comes from Him and exists by His power and is intended for His glory. All glory to Him forever!’ Rom.11:36. You are created by God and your life is intended for His glory. In becoming all that God has planned for you, you glorify Him. Being planted helps you become all that God wants you to be. As we belong to a Church family, we are sharpened and experience God’s glory in people’s lives and from their testimonies. Experiencing glory means we are changed from glory to glory. We are transformed to a higher level of faith as we become more like Jesus Christ. If you do not belong, you really cannot become all that God wants you to be. In the Church family you are able to observe other people and get a practical example of all that God wants you to be. Another benefit of being planted is that it teaches you how to behave. Our attitude is also key to becoming all that God wants us to be. When you are planted in a Church, you will encounter wiser people who will set you right. ‘The godly offer good counsel; they teach right from wrong’ Ps.37:30. The challenges a lot of people face can be linked with having the wrong attitude. The breakthroughs a lot of people experience can also be linked to their behavior even amidst trials. Take Joseph for example, he behaved like a prime minister even when he was in prison. And he was set above people wherever he went. In prison, he did not focus on his own problems alone or behave badly to others. He put his challenges aside and cared for the kings servants. His behavior became an advocate for him. Young ladies today who desire to be married are behaving like girlfriends. From the way they live, at best they will attract people who are looking for girlfriends. You need to behave for the next level and God will make it happen. When you are planted in a Church family, the older and younger married women will help counsel you. ‘Plans succeed through good counsel; don’t go to war without wise advice’ Prov.20:18.
Prayer: Father, even as I remain planted in Your House, link me with my helpers. Connect me to good counsel so that I will be all You want me to be, in Jesus Name.
