Manifest Presence

‘And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages… But others in the crowd ridiculed them, saying, “They’re just drunk, that’s all!” Acts2:4 & 13

You have to live your life void of fear of people ridiculing you or calling you names. And plug into the purposes of God. The disciples were wise enough to separate themselves as Jesus instructed and wait for the promise. When they received the promise, some people’s reaction was to ridicule them. Ignore the jesters. The Holy Spirit is the power of God. He is God Himself. He is the presence of God made manifest. Without the Holy Spirit we can do absolutely nothing. Without Him the Christian life and walk is a suicide mission. Jesus understanding this, said ‘But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send him to youJohn 16:7. The Passover had to happen so that Pentecost would take place. If you are not baptized in the Holy Spirit yet, I trust that God will give you a burning desire today. Having the desire is the first step in getting baptized in the Holy Spirit. Without the desire, nothing will happen. I hope this births in you a burning desire for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. If you already have received this gift then you need to pray that God will give you an insatiable desire for more of His Spirit. Walking in the manifest presence of God will save your life. God’s Spirit will keep you from walking into traps and redirect your steps. Obeying and relying on Him totally is a choice you have to make. A choice that will save you because you will encounter people and situations that you have no idea what the truth is. But the Spirit of Truth with you is like having a lamp in the dark [John 16:13]. Things are never what they seem; there is always more to it than meets the eye. You and I need the Holy Spirit. Some Christians say that He is spooky and others try to do without Him. They will not survive this walk. You need to hear from God regardless of what you do. The Holy Spirit will save you from people who you think are on your side but really are not. It is only Him that knows the heart of man.

Prayer [hymn]: I need Thee every hour, most Holy One; Oh, make me Thine indeed, Thou blessed Son. I need Thee, oh, I need Thee; Every hour I need Thee; Oh, bless me now, my Savior, I come to Thee. Amen.
