Levels Of Living
‘Give to anyone who asks; and when things are taken away from you, don’t try to get them back’ Luke 6:30
There are three levels of living. Moving from one level to another requires giving [sowing]. You cannot expect to grow by consistently being on the receiving end. You grow by being a giver. No one is born to receive alone. In actual fact, receiving is a benefit of giving. We were born to give. Born to give life (birth), money, comfort, clothes, etc. If you have clothes you have not worn for six months, you really don’t need those cloths. Give it out to someone that needs it and will appreciate it. Huge blessings are attached to giving. The levels of living include:
- The survival level: The belief of the people in this level is that they are managing life. And this becomes their reality; the survival level.
- The success level: Those on this level are seemingly better off than the first level. They are enjoying some level of comfort and abundance and it shows in their attitude.
- The significant level
To move from one level to another, you have to sow the seed equivalent to the next level. For instance, to move from the survival level to the success level, you need to give a successful seed. If you are on the survival level and you keep giving a survival seed, you’ll remain on that level. If you are on the survival level and you want to move higher, then it is important to know that a survival seed would not be sufficient. When you are on the success level and you need to go to the significant level, you have to part with a significant seed. To remain significant, you must continue to sow significant seeds so that you are not celebrated today and insulted or pitied tomorrow. People are quick to think about money when you talk about sowing. Jesus did not go to the cross and drop a huge cheque. He gave His life as a seed. There are certain things you need to die to in order to enter that level of success that you desire. For Abraham it was his son he needed to give. What is it for you?
Prayer: Father, I ask for the grace to give for my next level. The grace to hold unto You tightly and hold unto things loosely I ask for. Father, make me a blessing, in Jesus Name.
