Remember and Give Thanks

‘Everyone will share the story of your wonderful goodness; they will sing with joy about your righteousness’ Ps. 145:7.

Remember the wonders He has performed, His miracles, and the rulings He has given1 Chron.16:12. There is no better time to dedicate to thanksgiving than at the end of the year. Take time out today to sit with God and give Him thanks for January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, and December. Remember His unwavering love and commitment to you. Was there ever a day you woke up and doubted God’s love? It is something to be thankful for. Remember how He took you out every day and brought you back home. Remember how He kept your family, your loved ones. Remember every battle that you know that God showed up on your behalf. Thank God for the battles that you are not even aware of but yet as your Advocate He drew out the spear on your behalf. Thank God for never letting you go ashamed inspite of the trials. Remember the lessons that God has taught you and thank Him for them all. Thank Him for how He used each lesson to change your life. God never ever wants us to forget where He has taken us from. Let this be the basis of your thanksgiving and gratitude. Giving thanks is so important. ‘The Lord inhabits the praises of His people’. ‘Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!Ps. 103:2-5. Come before God with heartfelt praise because the truth is that none of us would have made it this far without His ever watchful eyes. Thank God for the low points of the year past because His strength was made perfect in your weakness. Thank God with songs, instruments and words of adoration. Make today a day of remembrance of what God did in the past. Start to thank God for 2013 because He is set to exceed your every expectation.
