Generate Wealth

‘And he told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest’Luke 12:16 [NIV].

Read Luke 12:16-21[NIV]. ‘This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God’. From this passage it is clear that Jesus is not beating about the bush. Jesus is saying the financial future of the person that is amassing wealth and is poor towards God is one where they are amassing the wealth for another person to spend it. That will not be your portion in the mighty Name of Jesus. God is clear that anyone that is stashing away wealth but is not rich towards God is only accumulating it for someone else. I am not saying that saving is bad and I am not saying you should not keep what you have earned. Of course not, as we are going to learn from this passage, there is a lot that this man did right but we are also going to learn from what he did wrong. From this story it is clear that to grow financial roots I have to do six things. The first thing I must do is generate wealth.

This man knew how to generate wealth. ‘And he told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest’.We need to ask ourselves, what we are producing really because we need to generate wealth. For you and I to have financial roots we have to learn how to generate wealth. Sometimes slowly but surely but we have to learn how to generate wealth. That is the first thing we see this man doing and God does not have an issue with that. In fact the Bible says it is God that gives us the power to get wealth. It is God that empowers us to generate wealth. The truth is that God wants you and I to generate wealth. The first step to growing financial roots is that we have to generate wealth. Take time out beginning today to evaluate how you are currently generating wealth. Jacob went to God and God showed him how to go about generating wealth. God is still God today.

Prayer: Father, teach me how to go about generating wealth. Lord fill me with the wisdom and understanding I need to begin generating wealth, in Jesus Name
