God Has A Will
‘For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life’ John 3:16
A young lady was praying for a job and by God’s grace she was give two to choose from. One of course had much better perks than the other – better pay, courses outside the country and much more. So she sort God on which option was best because He alone knows the end from the beginning. And the leading she got was to take the less paying job. It was a struggle for her but she obeyed God and on the long term she is better of for it today 10years down the line. If she had taken the other job she probably would have gone off on another tangent. Would she have made heaven? Perhaps, if she remains with Christ but she may have missed out on God’s best for her life. Two things, you can choose to rejoice in obedience or sorrow in it.
Another lady had to choose between a struggling guy and a wealthy guy when she wanted to get married. Again she did the wise thing and went to God and she got a leading to marry the struggling guy. Don’t get me wrong I am not saying that with God’s it is always the struggling one that is the preferred option. But in these cases I am relaying, that was what happened. So she obeyed God and married the struggling guy. But every time something happens she will say to God ‘I am in your will now but we are struggling in your will’. God dealt with her serious and told her to get over herself. At the end of the day she had it going on well on the long term. God has a will. A lot of us struggle with that because the concept of God we have is of someone who runs errands for us almost like a remote control. When you press bottoms on the control He immediately provides the preferred option water, light, a job, or a wife. If this is the concept of God that you have then it is wrong because that is not who God is. God is God by Himself and not an errand boy. You can have a plan but God can have a superior or different plan from yours. When you learn that God is bigger then you, you abandon your little ideas for His great plans.
Prayer: Father, help me stay in the center of Your plans for me. May I never struggle with Your direction for my life, in Jesus Name.
