Walk In The Light That You Have

But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it’ James 1:25.

To live free, the third thing we must do is walk in the light that we have. Our challenge as believers and the church really is that we are far more educated than the level of our obedience. We know more than we do. If we do as much as we know, our lives will be totally transformed. In fact I challenge you to do 60% of what you know of God and you will not recognize yourself again. You will be so powerful, so anointed, that when you enter a place, demons will shout and run. And you are just doing 60%. I am not saying you should rest at 60%; by all means please push for a 100%. What will happen when you do 100%? You need to walk in the light that God has shown to you. Don’t be overly concerned about walking in the light that God has shown to your pastor, or God has shown to your neighbor, or your brother, or your spouse. Walk in the light God has shown to you. Typical example, ‘husbands love your wives’ – that is light. What does that mean? Did the Bible say husband love your wife when she is well behaved? It simply says husbands love your wives. Wives submit to your husbands – that is light. What you do with it determines whether you walk free or not. Take the issue of financial freedom and tithing for instance, some people know they should tithe but they refuse to tithe. There is nothing you can do about that. Don’t worry about that, you walk in your own light and your freedom will be sure in the Mighty Name of Jesus. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror; You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like’ James 1:23-24. The Bible in James 1:23-25, talks about a man that looks at himself in the mirror – the Word. You go to church and hear the Word of God. You can identify areas where you need to change, improve, and need the power of God to walk in. The Bible says when you leave church you should go and be doers of the Word. But when you do not do it, it has no effect. Yet the Word of God will have effect in your life in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

Prayer: Father, I ask for the grace to walk in the light that You provide to walk in the light of Your Spirit and to walk in the light of Your Word, in Jesus Name.
