The Prophet

‘And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days’ Gen.49:1 [KJV]

The father is the prophet of the family. Where are the eyes? It is on the head so how come it is only your wife that sees visions? How come she is the one that hears what God is saying? How come she is able to discern and guide you on what investments to make or tell you the direction the Holy Ghost is moving in? All you are doing is going along with the direction she is providing. Something is wrong with that. A man that is standing in this position has become a figurehead prophet in his family. You need to change and get closer to God. The man is the prophet. God did not put the eyes in the chest; I am not saying that the wife cannot hear God. Your wife can confirm what God is saying but the primary responsibility of vision lies with the head. God did not put the eyes on the legs; He put the eyes in the head. Vision is the function of the head. As the father and prophet, you bless your children and family. You speak prophetically into their lives. In Genesis 49, Israel was speaking prophetically into the future of his children. The father as the prophet of his family should bless his wife and his children everyday. What usually separates between success and failure is not skill, it is the blessing. As the father, you have to bless your children and as a husband you have to bless your wife. Unfortunately there are some people who the people that have been fathers over them rather than blessing them have cursed them. Those curses God will break today in Jesus Name. For such people, God is going to break the curses, He is going to bless you, and make you un-cursable going forward. Really, the number one dad is God. God is the Father of fathers and the Father to the fatherless. He is the Father of those that have yielded to Him. So if you are one of those who God is not your Father because you have never accepted Jesus as your Lord, or you are far away from the Father and have fallen under the wings of the devil because of sin; today is the day to declare out loud that God is your Father and the Lord of your life. Resist the devil and he will flee.

Prayer: Thank You Lord for being a shield for me, the Glory and the Lifter up of my head. Thank You for Your Living Word that has charted the course of my life, in Jesus Name.
