Un-communicated Demands II

‘For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: there will always be flour and olive oil left in your containers until the time when the Lord sends rain and the crops grow again!’ 1Kings 17:14.

 

The story is told of a church that was raising funds for their land. They had a member who was on welfare and so they did not want to ask her for anything. Yet the pastor understood that it is God’s work so he decided to approach her for a contribution. After all, if all she gave was a dollar God will bless her for it. When he asked the woman, she said she had been waiting to see if anyone would ask her to sow.
